ABOUT NIGHT CREAM

Getting the right kind of night cream for your face can only go so far. It’s still important to have a great bedtime beauty routine so that you’d wake up fresh every morning. Here are some tips to help you get started:

  1. Drink a glass of water before bedtime. This is especially important since we live in a tropical country and may sweat a lot due to the heat. A glass of water at bedtime will help replenish all the liquid you’ve lost the entire day, which can be quite a lot. That water is necessary to keep the body working in tip-top shape and can help you get healthier skin.

  2. Make sure your linens are clean, especially your pillow cases. Cleansing is useless if you’re going to put your head on a dirty pillow, as they tend to collect oil, dust, and dirt while you sleep. That gunk may eventually cause a bad breakout, no matter how effective the products you use are. So make sure to change them regularly every three to four nights.

  3. Get enough sleep. This may seem like a no-brainer, but many people nowadays do suffer from the lack of sleep. According to the new guidelines issued by the National Sleep Foundation, anyone from 18 to 64 years old ideally should have seven to nine hours of sleep every night. This is crucial as your body uses that time to absorb all the nutrients in the beauty products you use, and then uses them to repair your skin.

  4. That said, don’t go to sleep immediately after applying creams on your face. Give your face a little time to absorb the product enough. Otherwise, you would just end up smearing that expensive cream or serum on your pillowcase when you turn in bed.
