Love it or hate it, hairspray is making a comeback, as is its lesser-known sibling- hair mist. The hair sprays and mist of today are not the same ones your grandma wore, though Most modern versions are suited for less stiff, modern looks while affording a good degree of control. Here are some tips on using them:
.) Apply it at more or less arm’s length. At a minimum, you shouldn’t apply hairspray closer than a foot (30cm) away from your head. This will usually give you a decent amount of coverage without saturating your hair.
.) Use it in a well-ventilated area. Sprays and mists are generally safe, but you don’t want to be inhaling that stuff in. Keep the windows open when possible when applying hairspray. It will also keep your home from acquiring that familiar salon smell that most of us can do without.
.) Consider hair mists. These are far more accessible and portable types of hairspray. They’re not just for holding your hair place. They’re more often used for controlling frizz or for conditioning hair on a regular basis.
.) Use them in place of perfumes. Some scented hair mists are specifically meant to be a personal fragrance that can augment or replace your colognes and perfumes. When combined with hair nutrients and conditioners, these mists are a big win.
