Still looking for my perfect red lippie
I love red lippies, and I'm partial to Filipino brands and organic products, so when I found this item, I was excited to try it out. I'm fair-medium with warm/neutral undertone, so I bought AFTERGLOW (red orange), which, based on the swatch (on another site), would look better on me than True Red (red). 1. Packaging is OK, doe applicator is ok as well. 2. Smell and taste is weird, but tolerable. 3. Application is a hassle! It's watery and you need to dab (not swipe) so the color will stay on the lips. I had to put on at least 3 layers before the color becomes ok. 4. It's the first red-orange that looks flat and dead, and not vibrant at all. Color looks like clay or brownish carrot orange than the ripe papaya reddish orange I was expecting. 5. It's not transfer-proof or smudge-proof at all. It might be lightweight, but even after lip balm, my lips got really dried out in a couple of hours. 2 stars for being organic and Filipino; I hope Be Organic improves. TLDR; color looks bad one me and drying, not for me, will try other lippies before using again.
