Enzyme Powder Wash Cleanser

”I used to shop high end K-beauty skincare like Tatcha. This cleanser is like a dupe for Tatcha’s rice enzyme powder cleanser! I love both so much but the price for Tosowoong is so much prettier :) the smell is pleasant and the powder is a good and gentle exfoliant before it turns into a smooth lather. My face feels instantly brighter and softer and clean! This product lasts forever. I’ve had it for maybe 6 months and i think imp about halfway done. Just repurchased because why not restock?”

Enzyme Powder Wash Cleanser

”It’s my second/third step cleanser and it did a good job at removing the remaining traces of oil cleanser. Smells good. Takes a bit to get the right ratio of powder to water but it does foam up well when you do. The exfoliation aspect doesn’t stand out to me but I guess it’s ok that it’s there. Great for the price and convenient to bring when traveling since it’s not a liquid. I recommend wetting your hand first then pouring a small amount and adding some drops of water to get the consistency you want. Would buy again.”

Take a seat and listen while I try not to endlessly rave about how good this is

Powder washes were a whole new world for me. I never thought it possible until now and it turned the concept has been around for quite some time (no doubt from within Asian skincare). No doubt this quickly became an HG cleanser for many, it is that good. You only need a cent (or smaller) sized amount to lather up substantial foam. After the massage and rinse, you are left with smoother skin that doesn't feel stripped nor 'very squeaky clean' (Personally I hate it when friction is apparent whenever I graze my finger on my post-cleanse face; it usually means I'm too dry and will be expecting angry pimples soon). That was for the first cleanse. In two weeks I noticed my skin is..just prettier in general - brighter, smoother (I have adult acne *sad face* but I'm getting better, hopefully), and softer. I changed nothing but add the cleanser to my routine so you know what's up. What may throw some people off is the detergent smell of it, but believe me and many other users when we say the smell doesn't last once in contact with water. Additionally, the ingredients list isn't the sauciest, with it having denatured alcohol, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, parabens, perfume etc. Strangely enough, my skin is acting like it's not experiencing these products at all. I looked up some reviews and one in particular (Fifty Shades of Snail, who also adores this cleanser <3) gave an explanation as to why these should, ideally, not matter. Just to be safe though, avoid this product if you really are sensitive/allergic to those ingredients. Thankfully, I'm not, but I am really sensitive to new products (because it turns out my skin likes the mundane, and can't stand a sudden adventure, just like me in real life). I decided to introduce it somewhat slowly into my routine, starting off with one wash per 3 days then eventually upgraded to once daily. I also decided not to use this twice a day because I still am too scared of over-exfoliation. It is an enzyme wash after all, and I've had bad experiences with papain-centric products in the past. However I am veeery tempted to ditch my AM cleanser because I am really loving this powder wash.

My new favorite low pH cleanser!

I used to be loyal to the COSRX Good Morning Low pH cleanser, but this had made my change my loyalties. While the COSRX got the job done, my skin just feels so much better post-cleanse with the Enzyme Powder Wash. While my skin didn't feel tight with the COSRX, my face just feels softer and bouncier with this. The scent is also better and gentler than COSRX's heavier, tea tree scent. The powder format makes it great for travel, too.

Perfect cleanser for oily skin

I've heard about this cleanser on 50 shades of snail, and Fiddy rated this as 5/5, so I bought it. It looks and smells like detergent, but don't let those fool you. It has a perfectly low ph (5.5), and it doesn't leave my skin dry after cleansing. I've read from many articles that our face have a protective barrier, that after cleansing with some cleansers/foams/soaps (I use kojic soap before), will destroy the acid mantle, and thus makes the skin produce more sebum, which is a no-no for those with oily and acne-prone skin like me. I've been using this for 2 weeks, and I think I wont stray away from this for a long time.

So far, so good!

Bought this over the anniversary sale because I wanted to find a (cheaper) replacement for the Etude House cleanser I've been using for a few years now. Honestly hesitated at first because I didn't get how it could be a "powder" and I also discovered some of the ingredients are not for ph-balancing skin BUT thankfully, I came across blogs/reviews/tester discussing how the ingredients actually work together for the balance and even did skin tests to prove it. Needless to say, I got convinced and I'm not regretting the choice. I use this for my AM routine since and my oily skin hasn't acted up or anything, so I can say it's good.

My new HG cleanser

Love how affordable this cleanser is. It's super gentle on my skin and leaves it feeling super clean and soft after. Ever since I started using this, I got less acne!!! It gives a mild exfoliation effect too, which I like. Silly me didn't know how to use this at first, but it was easy lang pala! With a damp face and damp hands, I pour a small amount of cleanser onto my palm and then lather it a bit. Then I massage it into my face na! No mess. :D

Giving CosRx cleanser a run for its money

There are tons of cleansers out there but only a few can claim to be at a ph5.5. I've tried some of them, including the cult-fave CorRx Good Morning Gel Cleanser, and this is by far one of the gentlest ph5.5 cleanser I've come across. I can use it everyday, twice a day, without my skin getting more sensitive. It didn't dry me out at all. You can make a lather in your hand (or konjac sponge) before applying it to your face for a smoother experience. Or you can apply to a wet hand and face directly for more exfoliation power. Plus, being in powder form, it's travel friendly too!
