This definitely comes across as an old-world perfume, one that calls to mind memories of childhood, old houses, grandmas, and scented stationeries. The scent is initially strong and musky, like frankincense, and dries out to a softer yet mature, powder scent. While it is not my cup of tea, the fragrance is not really disconcerting and I feel like it has a niche market. Longevity was an issue as the scent didn't last for at least 2 hours on my skin or clothes. I was willing to keep using the perfume but packaging is just a complete miss - from the perfume that spilled onto the other items that came with this order, to the atomizer that stopped dispensing the product after only two weeks of use. I didn't want to transfer the contents to another perfume bottle but it couldn't be helped. The product is beautiful but I likely won't repurchase.

Pure Poetry

I absolutely adore this scent! It's one of those "mature" and sophisticated scents that actually gets better with the passage of time. If you're sick of sweet florals and vanilla smelling stuff, Toshi is the way to go. Seeing those little buds inside the bottle sort of enhances the old world feel of this scent. I love how it smells earthy and clean and absolutely beautiful.

A little overpowering, but it definitely smells clean

Toshi applies rather strongly, so if you have a sensitive nose or some active allergies, you may want to spray this sparingly and from a distance. It invokes this clean, cotton like smell which dries to a softer fragrance, as if you were rubbing against freshly washed linen. It's definitely a scent to try for regular, chill days! Plus, this is natural and locally-produced, so you're supporting a proudly Pinoy brand. Therefore, as a given, natural products won't have the preservatives that extend the wear of perfume, so expect to carry this with you all the time to reapply the scent when it wears out after an hour or two.
