Not a good sponge

This is the first sponge that I tried and I would not repurchase or recommend this to anyone. It absorbed way too much product, and it doesn't really blend that well. I've moved on to better sponges that are pricier (Real Techniques and Beauty Blender) but are super worth the money.

Invest in something better, ladies.

I purchased this elsewhere, but I feel the need to share my thoughts on it to help others decide whether or not this is the sponge for you. It wasn't for me, unfortunately. First of all, the sponge is quite firm. Even after soaking it in running water and squeezing out the excess, it doesn't get any softer nor does it expand like most other sponges. If it does expand, then the different in size is very little. Overall, I find this sponge difficult to work with sometimes. Plain and simple. It doesn't do the best job at blending out either my liquid or cream foundations. I eventually just end up reaching for my Beauty Blender or Real Techniques sponge or a brush. It will either blend out my makeup in a patchy manner or not at all. What it does work best with though is with cushions. The one upside of this sponge for me is the shape because it's easy to hold and control, but that's about it. In the end, you're much better off investing in the original Beauty Blender, which is is still my personal favorite, or the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge.

Works well once you've figured out how to use it properly

What helped me get rid of the "factory smell" was soaking it in lukewarm, soapy water prior to the first use (as I do with all my new sponges and brushes). I found that it's best to use it WET (not just damp) and only for blending in foundation or concealer. Do not put your product directly on the sponge because it tends to soak it all up. The density of the sponge helps distribute the foundation flawlessly so I don't have much complaints.

Works but difficult to clean

This product works for a good finish on your make up but I had a hard time time cleaning this one. This sponge is a bit hard and its very difficult to remove the product. Cleaning this one is so time consuming but it does the job for an natural looking make up.

Good for blending

I don't put product on this sponge. Rather, I apply it with my fingertips and just use the sponge with quick dabbing motions to pat the product and achieve a blended, natural finish. It is a dupe of the famous beauty blender and there is of course a difference in quality as there is in price as well. The price/quality tradeoff I imagine would work for most, especially if you are an expert at blending.

Save your money,Opt for others

when i received this i was actually excited as it came cheap. and truth be told the quality paid the price. the sponge is hard and fully packed. you cannot even squeeze it when you wash it. i washed it so i can see it will soak up or eat up my foundation, and it did. i will try to use this for powders instead as my precious liquid foundations are not a friend of this sponge. also the factory smell is still in the sponge. you know the literal smell of sponges that is being sold as raw products.
