My skin tends to react to changes in weather and temp. This kept it calm as we transitioned into summer. These days, I save this for cool nights since it tends to make my combo skin oil up when it’s hotter. So it’s not the comfiest moisturizer on sweltering days, but the formula is lightweight 90% of the time. I think dry skin types would drink this up no matter the season. It feels super rich and nourishing. I always wake up with supple skin whenever I wear this. During my first few uses, I always looked forward to applying this. It’s been a while since I’ve been excited about a new product. It’s refreshing and slightly cooling, but not so much that it feels like I applied menthol all over my face. It’s just a nice, relaxing sensation. It translates to less redness and inflammation in general—I noticed that my pimply skin looks much calmer with this in my routine. It also feels so luxe! It has this subtle herbaceous, citrusy smell that reminds me of a spa. I can only smell it out of the pot and on my skin when I first apply it, but it fades once the formula absorbs. Just something to note if you’re super averse to fragrance in skincare. (I am too, but this one works for me.) Overall, this is my new favorite night cream. Would super recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a new moisturizer with tons of beneficial ingredients. It can keep your skin hydrated all the way until morning. And it’s a great gentle intro to some buzzy Korean ingredients, like mugwort—it made me really curious to try more of the stuff.
