For the most vivid results, Manic Panic recommends that this product be applied to bleached or pre-lightened hair.
Manic Panic is a global hair color and cosmetic company that began in New York City as the brainchild of punk-rock singers (and sisters!) Tish and Snooky. As vocalists in the original Blondie lineup, they decided to open up America’s very first punk-style boutique, Manic Panic, which catered to the punk and alternative rock crowd. It was there that the sisters introduced their brand’s wildly successful colorful hair dyes and cosmetics, now beloved by your favorite celebrities.
I had a gradient-bleached hair. Despite the bleaching towards the ends, my hair was healthy overall; it should've been easily dyed. I'd decided to dye my hair and make a blue gradient effect using this product with the color "After Midnight". I expected a dark blue color near the roots and bright intense blue color towards the ends; unfortunately, I expected too much. The color near the roots was alright but the color towards the ends was just dull and pale. It was so faint that it looked like I just used a blue-tinted conditioner. It's not hard on the hair and scalp though. There was no stinging sensation on the scalp and it also made my hair soft and smooth like... you know... a conditioner! Well, the application wasn't messy. It didn't stain my skin and my sink. Yes, it felt nice on the hair and scalp but it didn't do it's purpose for me. I don't think I'lll be buying this again.about 1 year ago
My daughter wanted to color her hair so I got this shade for her since it would not show up so bright since she didn't intend on bleaching her hair. Application was very easy as long as you have a good pair of gloves (check for holes!). We left it on the length of a full length film and the results were great! She only dyed the tips and rocked them out. This is a good brand for those not ready to make a commitment and want to just try out a color.over 1 year ago
I originally bought Violet night for toning purposes, but I loved the color so much that I'm considering using it as an overall color. The dye is rich and pigmented, as well as very easy to use. It's gentle on your hair unlike other dyes that need color developers, but it does fade after a couple of weeks. I mixed some of the dye with my conditioner to help refresh the color. I can't wait to try the other colors!over 1 year ago
Manic Panic is the best toner! I dilute mine with conditioner to tone out the brassiness of my hair. I have to do mine about once every 2 to 3weeks. Manic panic is not damaging, my hair is super soft, the whole process doubled as a deep conditioning treatment. I am very happy with the result.over 1 year ago
Blue and purple shades are my favorite for mermaid hair look! I like the Purple Haze and Rockabilly Blue shades because they fade into beautiful silver/grey color. They also compliment my skin tone very well. The dye can last up to 4-6 weeks depending on how often you wash your hair. I recommend using dry shampoo like Dove Dry Shampoo in between washes to keep the color of your hair vibrant.almost 2 years ago
I got the Voodoo blue and it gives this cyan hue (more greenish in my opinion). I love the color because it outlast other colors from other brands but that's actually highly dependent on the shade... I had the ultraviolet shade from the same brand before but it doesn't last that long compared to this color. I love the jar too because I use it directly to color my hair compared to tubes or bottles. And if you don't like the shade and want to change it already, using shampoo everyday will make the fading faster (and not as drying compared to peroxide-based hair dyes).almost 2 years ago
Pretty little predictions for the month of September.
