Hineleban Adlai is the best and it's really organic. Upon visiting on their farm I noticed that they are using natural farming. No harmful chemical used and when you buy there products you help a thousand of Indigenous farmers of bukidnon. Nakatulong ka na, healthy ka pa. :)
I saw the other reviews but maybe you can consider on how the harvest works and they really takes effort on how they dedicate their hard work for us to have a healthier rice. :)
PS. The different smell that you have encountered, it is pure natural and normal. :)))))
Thank you Hineleban farms, I support you.
We switched to adlai beginning of the pandemic, i've tried a lot, It is by far the best out of the ones I've tried. Cooks really nice, it tastes nutty but good, doesn't have a weird smell or after taste like most adlai do. Goes well with everything, a great substitute for rice.
I'm rating this 2 stars because at first it is okay in terms of taste. Although I like the Kiboa brand more, but I am okay with this as an alternative just in case. I bought this last April with expiry January 2022. I was not consistent of cooking Adlai so up until yesterday, I still have 1/4 and decided to cook it again. However, when I opened the pack it smelled horrible already and when I washed it, it is already dark. So I was kinda disappointed because the quality doesn't last long so it just became a waste.
I've tried Farm To Folks Adlai and it was okay, just had a problem with the smell (maybe I just got an old stock). This brand was on my wishlist since accdg to my research, this is one of the most popular brands so I was really happy when I finally got the notif that it's available just when I was scheduled to re-stock. I like the resealable packaging, I saved a canester for other stuff. However, upon opening I noticed that it smells more like a corn and noticed some corn grits. I didn't mind the first time coz it was only a few. However, on my 3rd bag, there were more corn grits. I am just disappointed coz it is not pure. With it's price higher than the others and I don't get a pure Adlai, just disappointing. No prob with corn grits, just not a fan. Will try other brand and hopefully I'll find the perfect one.
