My HG Cleanser!
October 1, 2015
”I have sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin, and double-cleanse my skin using Clean It Zero Purity and a foaming cleanser. Ever since I started using this I’ve seen a decrease in blackheads, fewer breakouts, less dry skin, and my skin takes longer to get oily. It cleans off makeup and sunscreen in a snap, is much easier to apply than cleansing oil, and is totally non-irritating. My only (very minor) complaint is that I don’t like the smell it leaves after you wash it off (it smells kind of musty to me), but that’s fixed by using a foaming cleanser afterwards.”

HG! but follow the steps properly

After reading how many people loved this cleanser, I decided to try out the gentlest type. The first week, I broke out into small spots(outside my usual area) and was bummed thinking that I couldn't use the cleanser. BUT, then I found out I had been using it wrong. 1st step - with dry hands, rub a small amount of cleanser onto your dry face. Massage for a minute or so to remove any sunscreen/make up. 2nd step - wet your hand a bit and massage your face again, dissolving the cleanser into a milky liquid, and making sure there is no oily residue left. 3rd step - wash off the cleanser fully. My mistake was not doing the 2nd step thoroughly and leaving some cleanser on my skin. Also, the face massage in the 1st step is also great at removing sebaceous filaments! You can also follow fifty shades of snail on her how-to for removing them.

I'd always been afraid of oil-based products because of my sensitive skin. But when I started doing theater seriously, I had to pack on makeup more and more. THEN I became more afraid of the makeup that I wouldn't be able to wash off properly, because I started breaking out after every show. I knew my usual micellar water wasn't cutting it anymore. So I gave this a shot, AND IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It is such an overachieving product. It fully cleanses AND moisturizes my face. Even when I'm not wearing makeup, I use it when I'm just feeling extra grimy. My face always feels well-balanced after using this. I just finished my first tub and am starting on my next! Could not recommend enough!!!

Replaced my micellar water just like that!

I thought that micellar water was the best way to remove makeup until I came upon this cleansing balm. I love that Banila Co. has different varieties of balms for different skin concerns, because I believe that a cleanser cannot be just a cleanser. It's the first step of your skincare routine so I think you should consider the benefits of different balms. I picked this one because I have oily, acne-prone skin. I don't have to rub too hard to remove waterproof foundation, unlike using cotton pads with micellar water. It's so easy and can even remove waterproof mascara! I tried wiping off with an eye makeup remover afterwards just to see if there's any traces of mascara left -- ZERO!

A little goes a long way

This cleansing cream rocks! Whenever i massage it i can smell the nice minty flavor that I really love. After i wash it with water, my face feels good & refreshed like all my makeup is swept away. it doesn't irritate, small amount really removes it all! So love this!

Absolutely the best!

This is a great oil cleanser for my acne prone, sensitive skin. I just started using this a few
weeks ago as part of a double cleanse. It cleans every bit of makeup and leaves my skin supple
after using this. There wasn't any irritation at all, and it didn't clog my pores. I highly recommend this product and I'll definitely repurchase again in the future.

Where have you been all my life???

I have been watching too much YouTube and I was so intrigued by this balm cleanser that I had to go and get one! I like how this variant did not irritate my skin at all, even if my cheek area is very very sensitive. I didn't have a hard time removing waterproof makeup with this balm. I love how I don't have to rub my eye area so much to remove heavy duty makeup. I do double cleanse with a water-based cleanser afterwards. Thinking back on how much cotton pads I used with oil-based makeup remover and how icky it felt, I'm sticking to this one! I already repurchased my 2nd tub!
