This is my first time using this. I just bought it because there are a lot of good reviews for Dr. Belmeur products. I hope it will lessen my acne break-outs and clarify my acne scars.
I am in love with Dr. Belmeur's products, especially the clarifying toner and moisturizer. I've seen significant change in the oiliness of my face. I don't look like a stainless frying pan with oil in it. And that is a very good sign! Please restock this as soon as possible 👌
This toner works! I had moderate acne problem 1.5 years ago. Huge, red, angry-looking pimples would constantly appear on my forehead and cheeks and turn into scars. After regularly using the Dr. Belmeur products, I noticed that my acne cleared up. While I would still see 1 or 2 pimples at times (perhaps due to hormone/stress/or laziness😂), the condition of my skin has improved a lot! I recommend that you try the toner, along with the facial wash and moisturizer.
Upside:
1. It doesn’t make my skin dry. In fact, it makes my skin look dewy and radiant.
2. Gentle on skin.
3. It smells good.
4. It reduces acne.
Downside:
1. It is a bit pricey.
Overall, it works for me so I am still using it. To set your expectation, it does not clear up acne scars but it does prevent moderate to severe breakouts.
I've been using this toner for 3 years. I first used it in 2017 and I've been loyal with it ever since.
The Dr. Belmeur Clarifying Toner has that liquid consistency that I'm used to with toners, no artificial color (colorless liquid), and doesn't have a strong fragrance. If I sniff it hard enough, the smell is faintly citrusy.
This toner does its job of getting anything that was left over after double cleansing.
As I swipe the toner-soaked cotton ball to my face, I could instantly see the dirt that the toner catches. It's also good to be applied directly on the face.
The toner doesn't leave a sticky feeling and it's absorbed quickly into my skin. So, I can proceed to layering other skincare products.
What I really love about this toner is that it's a great team player: it's safe to use with other skincare products, even non-Faceshop ones.
Some of the products in my skincare routine may change, but Dr. Belmeur remains as my holy grail toner.
With the continued use of this toner, I haven't had any bad acne/cystic pimple episode even if after being diagnosed with PCOS, which causes hormonal imbalance; and when I stay up too late.
The price is steep, which is the only thing I don't like about it. But, it contains a lot of active extracts, so you're getting your money's worth.
If you're frugal with your skincare products, the 200 ml bottle can last up to 6 months.
