In 1975, manicure maven Jeff Pink created a quick ‘n’ easy, natural nail look for screen actresses who had no time to spare in between wardrobe changes. His timesaving manicures were feminine and timeless, never upstaging the outfit. So naturally, they became an instant favorite among stylists and starlets, eventually hitting the runways of Paris! That is how nail polish purveyor Orly was born—and with it, tip treatments, nail lacquers, and the very first better-for-your-nails gel. Today, Orly is available in hundreds of colors in various finishes and limited edition collections!
Two coats are all I need for this rich plum nail color to show up. Aside from finally finding this very unique shade of purple, I'm glad that it's a quick drying formula! I don't have to worry about messing up my nails after waiting for just about an hour or so after application. The polish lasted for a good 5 days without chipping so it's worth it. :)over 1 year ago
I think aside from neutral tones, one of my fave hues to wear on my nails is purple. I like this Orly Plum Sugar because it is a deep and rich purple with blue undertones. It looks really nice and sophisticated on the nails. The formula is very easy to apply as well. It dries quickly too.about 4 years ago
This is probably my least favorite purple shade. I don't like bluish shades in general but this was at least a bit likeable because it had purple in it. The glossy finish was a plus and several people actually complimented it because the application was flawless and looked pretty. There are better purple shades.over 4 years ago
I love the color Purple. It is my favorite hue and I have a good number of purple polishes in my stash. But what makes Plum Sugar a tad different is it has blue undertones to it, making it appear more on the indigo side of the color spectrum. It is opaque in two coats and has a creme finish.over 4 years ago
One of them is a product Meghan Markle AND Kate Middleton swear by.
