A good deal for a local essence
I've always been curious about this brand as I've seen it in physical stores and they do look very fetching, with their funky look and packaging. They went on sale here and I thought to just give them a try, since I don't really dedicated myself to any specific essences or serums--the one part in my routine I tend to switch around and try new things. First off, considering that there are a lot of essences along this same price range, 120 ml is a lot of product. Plus it's a local brand! The packaging looks great, a sturdy feeling-pump bottle with a big cap. And all the information you need is on the bottle (though the text is a bit hard to read against the shiny chrome on the label). After cleansing, I tried the product initially and was taken aback by the scent, which smelled more like soap than anything along the lines of pina colada. It wasn't off-putting, but I would expect it to be as advertised! The consistency was watery, which I didn't mind, and went on without fuss or irritation. It did stay kinda tacky on my skin, though it didn't feel as hydrating as it was claiming--I'd put moisturizer on still, anyway. I've been trying it for my morning routine, and my complexion got on pretty well, though I'd also say it didn't make any significant improvements to it either. I do think I was getting a little more oily than usual, but it's not like they were making any oil control claims. It's still a nice essence, I'd say, especially with the price point of a local product. Maybe I'll just need to swap it our for my evening routine instead.
