Gets me through my morning workouts!
The only time I have to work out is in the morning, around 530 AM, so obviously there isn't any time for preparing, eating, and digesting a proper snack before that. I used to have a spoonful of peanut butter or a piece of whole wheat bread before my workouts, which were fine when I started out, but as my programme got progressively more intense, I found myself getting incredibly tired halfway through the workout. I decided to supplement with BCAAs since I read that they're good for fasted workouts. I mix two scoops with 16 oz of cold water and drink maybe 1-1.5 oz. 5 minutes before my 10-min warm-up; it "kicks in" usually near the end of my warm-up, which gives me a great first "boost" for the start of my actual workout. I then drink the rest of my BCAAs throughout my workout, but I'm usually left with about 2-3 oz, so I just gulp down the rest after--gives me energy to quickly get ready for work. I've been really happy with the results so far, and even went and bought the other flavour (Strawberry Lemonade) from their website! Both flavours are pleasant and fruity, a little sweet but not enough to make your throat hurt. This dissolves very quickly in my shaker bottle; just be careful not to inhale any powder while you're preparing it! Should also mention that even though I'm acidic and I'm usually wary of citrus-anything on an empty stomach, neither flavour have given me any issues. All in all, really great, so give it a shot if you're looking to level up your workouts!
