Best decision for red days
I'm pretty thankful I bought this one and not another brand as I have experienced good results with this and basing on other people's reviews, that one isn't as good as Easyflo's.
As this is my first menstrual cup, I have nothing to compare it to but here are some things I have noticed:
-Once it's in, it's in. I read that you should not feel anything uncomfortable down there if it's placed correctly.
-No odours. One thing I absolutely hate when I have my period is the odour. Everytime I go to the bathroom, I have to fight the urge to change my pad. Everytime. Because the smell bothers me and I'm very sensitive as to how others perceive how I smell (weird I know)
-Less waste. This is also a big factor as to why I wanted to change from using pads to menstrual cups.
-The suction is good and the tail provides a handle when you have to get it out.
-I fold it into a sort of C, instead of a U, as it's more comfortable to put it in that way.
-Cup is firm but still flexible. It holds its shape when I fold it down but still springs into its original shape when released.
-NO LEAKS. Okay, I experienced leaking the very first time I used it cos I used it at night and was inside for at least 12 hours and it is definitely not recommended to leave it in for longer than 12 hours, or less if you have very heavy flow. But after that hiccup, I did not experience any sort of leak or stain on my underwear. I tried all sorts of positions that would cause leaks if you're using pads, upside down, one leg propped up, fully lying on my back, and others. And no leaks.
I think everyone experiences anxiety when using this for the first time as you are putting something foreign inside your body. I remember I kept checking if it's inside and not sliding around, turning my hips in circles to feel it in there and jogging on the spot.
Also, taking it out is another problem in itself at first. Since it created a suction to prevent leaks, you have to push it to the side a bit to release the suction and then you can take it out easily. I pulled on the tail but my fingers kept slipping and I can't get a good grip on it, at first.
It just really takes some getting used to and practicing.
