I bought coconut nectar because it is ranked low in the glycemic index like Yacon syrup which I used to buy. It's sweet enough and has a thick enough consistency that one would expect from a syrup. Compared to Yacon syrup though, I would prefer the latter in terms of taste. Overall though, I like this product and will buy it in the future because while not as good-tasting as Yacon syrup, it pairs well with pancakes and is a lot cheaper too!
We always make coffee at home and use coco sugar. But when we make cold brew, it’s difficult for the sugar to dissolve so we opted for this. A little too sticky but not as sweet as i thought it would be. Have already used this for substitute in baking bibingka. Mine turned out darket but had a slight burnt taste which we all loved. I just don’t like the spout since the product tends to spill over when pouring, thus attracting more ants Overall a good product.
After learning about the benefits of coconut nectar syrup from a website (Dr.Gerry's Coconut Nectar Syrup), I felt the nudge to try it. So I ordered two sizes - one 500 ml for us, the other 250 ml to give away. It did not take long for it to prove itself effective - and remarkable. In less than a week of use, coconut nectar syrup resolved in a matter of seconds or minutes a very sore mouth (from weeks of overbrushing), an electrolyte imbalance, a generic tummy ache with no known cause, and the "halak" of my 91-year-old mother. I did not have to think twice: I kept the second bottle. (A postscript: I still gave away coconut nectar syrup - but of another brand [which is equally good].)
I love this syrup! I can substitute this to anything that needs syrup or liquid sweetener. If you are vegan you can opt this rather than honey. The flavor has a sweet yet it has that coconut trademark flavor. I put this to my granola and bbq sauce lol haha
