I don't feel deprived :)

I tried Adlai as I had wanted to eat healthier and saw the many benefits online. Suffice to say I'm hooked and fully converted. I'm extremely prone to bloating whenever I eat rice but with this, I'm able to retain my stomach size throughout the day while feeling absolutely satiated. I've also tried healthier substitutes to white rice - red rice, quinoa, black rice and brown and while those had needed a bit of an adjustment, this one did not. I also didn't feel I was eating soil and didn't find myself drooling over rice at all. It's also quite economical needing more water to grain ratio than rice and tasting the same if not better :)

A Dissenting Opinion

Grains are not that big (less than half the size of native white corn kernels). Not chewy as reviewed (or is it just my cooking?). Must be winnowed with care or if not, consumed with caution. REASON: the hard pesky shells give an unpleasant surprise when your teeth sink into them the wrong way. They must be conscientiously sought out before and after washing. Yes, they float when the grains are rinsed. But those that do not, do a real good job in hiding in plain sight by blending so well with the natives (the shells are brown and so are some grains). To avoid any dental vexation, invest time and patience to weed out these shells that do not soften during cooking (drat). Oh well . . . . You can't please 'em all.

Worth the purchase ♥️

I love the texture of it, since i’m an avid fan of “binatog” it’s almost the same with this product. Also it makes me feel fuller and makes me crave less. I would definitely purchase again since it’s affordable and really helps my food intake daily. It’s also great for packed lunches ♥️

Yummy and filling

This is very filling and simple to cook. It tastes like a hybrid of brown rice and white corn. My only qualm is that while it's a great source of protein and fiber, it's quite calorie dense at 300-ish calories per 100g when cooked. It makes it kind of hard for people like me who need a little more volume to stay full and like to eat rice with meals more than once a day. Now, I just mix it in whatever type of rice I have available to help balance things out. Great stuff, nonetheless. :)

weight loss essential!

Smells like mixed corn and rice when being cooked. The grains are harder than the usual white rice so what i do is I leave it soaked in water for 10-15 minutes before i actually cook it. It tastes good like a mix of corn and rice too and a half cup or less gives a lot of energy. I can eat it with just a dab of sesame oil. Although a bit pricey but a kilo goes a long way for a single person. My parents love it too so might consider repurchasing.

Love the texture & flavor

Of all the adlai brands I've tried, I think I like Farm to Folk’s brown adlai rice the best. The grains are not crushed and when cooked with two cups of water (per cup of adlai), the texture is perfectly chewy much like al dente pasta. I would definitely repurchase!
