“Pinky promise is a nice natural pink, it is a little pinker than my natural lips and the colour doesn’t look like I have lipstick on, which I like. Red-dy or Not is a nice medium matte red, and I really like this one because it’s not too… Red. It’s more ‘vintage glam’ than ‘look at my lips they’re fire engine RED!’ They go on nice and smooth but they take a little time to dry, and are prone to smudging when it’s still wet…The colour does fade, but it was still going pretty strong after eating, drinking, and sleeping (aka smooshing my face into the pillow)…These are definitely on my favourites list!”

“I LOVE these!!…The stain lasts on me from after breakfast to lunch, so I only have to re-apply after lunch and after dinner if going out. Love the moisturizing it does for my lips and the fact its crayon style and so easy to apply, no mirror needed = great for on the go.”

“I can’t speak of any dryness issue for this product. I found it comfortable to wear, easy to apply, smooth, and has staining power. Its very cheap, and doesn’t apply patchy. So anyone looking for a lipstain/lip base or something that will give you some color when your lipsticks wears off, try this. Of course, you can always wear these on its own too : ) For what I use these for, it’s one of the best cheap balm stains out there.”

Least hassle, slick and smooth!

Being a matte lippie and lip stain type of girl, this was my first, brave move to get something so luscious and rich. It was a whole new world. The pigment is awesome. It stays on even if the wind whips my hair onto my lips. The application is super non-hassle, like I don't even need a mirror! Rico Mauve is my all time fave!

Smooth application

I love how this balmstain gives a smooth application plus its pigmentation is good, not questionable at all. I purchased red-dy or not and rico mauve, and i wasn't disappointed,red-dy or not gives you that vintage romantic look (honestly i actually feel like rachel mcadams from the notebook lol) while rico mauve is probably the best lip color you can pair with those sexy smokey eyes, i have fair skin btw. So yah thumbs up for this product for being good and affordable at the same time!

Velvety Smooth with Great staying Power :). Sure Winner!

For a balm, this one is a Winner. I need balms to moisturize the lips especially with all the mattes in my stash. But the problem with balms is that they have little to almost no staying power at all. You swipe some and then they disappear....a total let down to busy titas (beauties of a certain age haha) like me. But not with this one. Megaslicks is moisturizing and stays on for hours. I got the rico mauve just before BMNL run out of stock yay! I am tempted to even use it when I sleep because of the moisturizing effect. I will definitely buy more colors :)))

Great!

I'm in love with the shade Caffeine Fix. It's a gorgeous neutral kind of brownish shade (on me) that I can use almost everyday. This product glides on smoothly and lasts pretty much all day, as long as I drink from a straw and eat carefully. Great pigmention, great price and overall a great product. Not a fan of the packaging, though.

smooth on the lips!

I got the truffle in paradise, I thoought it would give a dark brownish color instead it was dark red to maroon color. It suits me well and it's smooth on the lips. doesn't dry the lips and the color stays for the whole day. I would probably try other colors next time. and it's not expensive too.

Great product!

I only have this is See if I Carrot (I had one other, but I dropped it in my car and it melted before I could try it, oops), but I'm probably going to eventually buy a few more. I was looking for a subtle orange-y shade for summer and this one worked out really great. It isn't too bright or super orange, but it isn't too coral-y like some "orange" lip colors I've tried.

I like that it's a stain/balm combo, but...it's a little weird. It does feel a nice on my lips, but my lips get dry really easily, so I still have to use a separate balm. As for the staining, it works, but isn't perfect. It's kind of a trade-off because, while it lasts longer than most lipsticks, glosses, or tinted balms that I've tried, it doesn't last as long as the other stains I've used. But, it doesn't dry my lips out like other stains have. There's also an issue with some transfer, at least until the excess product wears off. But, if I blot away the excess, the color payoff is almost non-existent.

So...

Pros:
-super cheap
-ok shade range
-somewhat moisturizing
-decent wear time

Cons:
-transfers until some of it wears off
-color payoff is just "meh" if I blot off the extra

I think this might work better with a light application, blotting, and then top it with a gloss or lipstick in a similar shade so as the gloss/lipstick wears off, you don't totally lose all the color. I haven't tested that, though, because I don't have another orange shade right now. If I get this in another shade that sort of matches one of my lipsticks or glosses, I'll test it out and update this review.
