Okay enough, maybe not great for what it's supposed to be for
I got this mostly because I wanted to lessen the garbage I produce buying Gong Cha tea products, since the one I go to in Greenfield allows for customers to put their drinks in a different container. (Mind you, I'm not sure if all Gong Chas do this, but not all tea places do this for sure.) At the same time, I didn't want to bring a hefty container around me all the time. This foldable bottle looked good enough to suit my purposes, and I took a chance despite the many reviews against it. I just rinsed it and did not follow any instructions to boil it (as per the reviews), and so far it's fine how I use it. It's not as silicone-tasting as I expected (maybe it's just me) and is pretty convenient and space-saving when folded. Large-sized drinks can't go entirely into the bottle though, and when it's expanded, I'm anxious sometimes that it could easily tip over, since it can be wobbly when full. I use a metal straw to drink out of it usually, but if you drink from the spout you do have to be careful about it. I do highly doubt that it's leak-proof (no plans to try that), so I honestly wouldn't use it to bring drinks for travel. For the active lifestyle it's supposed to serve, I'm not sure this bottle fits and there is room for improvement. The great upside is that it does work as a glass or cup so you can help reduce waste. It works for me, but there are better bottles around for sure.
