Simoy ng Haraya

Simoy ng Haraya is a unique line of scents conceptualized and blended by Lala de Leon. A product that is proudly Filipino, it foregrounds the local and the native, conjuring a rustic space of tranquility amid the frenzy of life in the city. Every perfume bottle even comes with a tanaga by poet Angelo V. Suarez—the tanaga is a traditional 4-line poem in Filipino, tightly crafted in rhyme and meter—to help realize this space. Simoy ng Haraya is definitely local color—but for the nose.

Also available is the Simoy ng Haraya Pambahay line, consisting of room, linen sprays, and reed diffusers.

Nostalgia

This is my best bet, so far in this line. The unique fragrance evokes memories of life in the province, of freshly laundered linen hung out in the yard and being whipped around by the wind, and of afternoons sitting by my mom as she irons our clothes, using a good old-fashioned charcoal powered iron! Yakap didn't work out well for my skin chemistry. I am also loving Alaala and looking forward to try out Tiwala, once it is available!
