I'm currently obsessed with yellow-toned lipsticks and #640 "Falling for Carmel" of this Luxe Leather line is definitely there in that niche with a very yellow-orange hue. I initially wrote this off more for its texture than color--it has a very wet feel to it which I was wary of. I thought it wouldn't be so pigmented, but I went and bought it anyway. Surprisingly, it lays the color on pretty well, and is easy to even out where it goes sheer. Even though it goes on wet and has a lot of slip, it does actually settle into its satin finish and doesn't seem to bleed or go beyond the liplines. It's very moisturizing of course, and has a balmy, comfortable feel on the lips. It won't last long through a meal or drinks though, but that is to be expected. The color is unexpected, yes, but it isn't hard to wear, really. It's a warm nude, almost, except that it will make you look tan, and definitely pick up the yellow tones in your teeth, if you have them. I'm not sure about the other colors in this limited edition, but they all seem pretty nice. Go for "Falling for Carmel" if you want to try something new!about 1 year ago
