Great coverage and staying power, but still not what I was looking for.
I was looking for an alternative to The Face Shop’s Oil Clear Smooth & Bright Pact and saw that this one was on sale. It’s much smaller in terms of packaging and amount (9g vs. 5g) than TFS’s pact, but I find that I don’t have to apply as much of this pact than I do with the TFS one for it to have the same effect. The coverage is surprisingly good for such a tiny thing (plus it has this familiar citrusy scent which I can’t identify). I intended to use this as a setting powder after applying cushion. I got the shade in Natural Beige and it really looked like my face was mattified for almost the whole day. There was even one time I took an afternoon nap for around three to four hours and when I woke up, my face looked exactly the same (but the room was air conditioned, so it might have been different if the room were hot). On a day when I was exposed to the sun and pollution, I got home at night and looked into the mirror to find that my face wasn’t as oily as I’d thought it would be. There was also a time when I used only moisturiser and this pact without a cushion, and the effect was still the same. That being said, however, I think my face was able to “breathe” more without this item. A few tiny pimples appeared which I could attribute to using this pact (just like when I used TFS’s pact) or to something else. Maybe it’s not meant to be used as a setting powder. Maybe it dried out my skin. Still, it worked better than The Face Shop’s pact.
