Liking it but I’m on the fence about it
Full disclosure, I received this product for review, as I normally wouldn’t buy a manicure set at this price, 50% off, or even more at full price and from a brand I’m unfamiliar with, having only seen it here and nowhere else. So this will be a long and detailed review and let’s delve into the Resevralife Advanced Manicure Set. First, it does come in a fancy, box/book type packaging that contains the 4 sided block type Diamond buffer, this is made out of foam, with each side containing the various grades/pads for finishing. They all have adhesive, so are replaceable and come with the following spare pads: there’s 2 for Step 1, 3 each for Steps 2 and 3. Each pad is labeled in Steps, with 1 being roughest, Step 2 isn’t labeled, is the medium buffer that’s brown with Resveralife on it, last is the white pad labeled Step 3, the final buffing pad, there’s 2 of these on the block. I must also add, anyone who buys this is assumed to know how to use a buffer, as there’s minimal directions on the box, the rest of the items don’t need explanation, but the buffer could have. Out of the box this is the first thing I tried, and having used one before, was easy for me to get buffing. I have to say it did the job well, though how much better than the cheaper sets you buy at any department store, I can’t really say. What did stand out was the final buffing pad, it gave a really high, glossy shine to my nails, so maybe the diamond buffing really worked. For the other items in the box, I defer to our manicurist as i’ve never used/had a glass file, the nail cutter was a nail cutter albeit slimmer than my old and trusty Trim brand one. So I had her use these the last time she came, and her verdict, the glass file did a great job at filing and did leave my nail edges smooth, with no snags. She loved the nail cutter, it was sharp, a nice size to use, since it’s a bit slimmer than usual, easier to manipulate. So there you have it, my final thoughts and why only 4 Stars too, which is for the set itself. I shaved 1 off because, as I mentioned, the price, I still don’t see how the set justifies that, even if it calls itself “Advanced”, how, i cant really tell. Thankfully all items work great but you can buy these much cheaper outside, maybe time and more use will justify spending this much for it. Would I recommend it, maybe if it’s at a much lower price I easily will, for now, if your a fan of the brand then go ahead. But if you have a manicure set that you’ve put together yourself and love to use, stick with that.
