Not bad, but there's cheaper elsewhere

I got Dream Quartz on sale since I was really getting into highlighters and wanted to try Colourette's a try, since I'm a fan of the brand. Admittedly, P799 is a lot for a highlighter in general, local or otherwise, so I was kind of glad I got it on discount. The component is cute and pink, and though it doesn't feel that sturdy, I do appreciate the mirror on it. Regarding the color, Dream Quartz is a warm gold that I think would look great on any skin tone. That said, I wouldn't say this is subtle exactly--the gold flecks really show up, so if you're more into a luminous, soft highlight, this isn't for you. It's bordering on glittery, which I honestly don't mind, but since I don't like to go for gold tones a lot, I don't use this on the regular. The glitter is fine enough so that you can tone it down, but it would still give you that "vampire from Twilight" effect, I would think. lol. I was quite surprised though that the product was so powdery. The fallout from this is a bit crazy, and that you have to be careful about. Even the mirror on the compact gets covered in glitter! Overall, if this weren't priced so highly, I wouldn't mind, but given so much other local competition (at much lower prices at that), you'd probably be better off getting something else.

Hard pass: A detailed rant 🤣

Bought it from colourette's official shoppee account dahil out of stock dito. Still giving my thoughts here to help set expectations straight so you wont feel like you've wasted your money. Gave in to the hype dahil ang daming nagsasabi na this is too good. I have dream quartz. When I first swatched it on my hand, it felt powdery and LOOKED powdery. Ironically, it doesnt look glossy; it looks SO glittery. I tried applying this with different brushes, with a sponge, with my fingers but still yielded the same result. Still gave it a shot, wore it on top of my make up na napaka cute for office. I thought to myself, pagtyagaan kesa masayang 800. BUT GIRL..paglabas ko ng bahay, tinamaan ako ng araw AT PARA AKONG MAY ARTS AND CRAFTS GLITTERS SA CHEEKBONES. Di pa rin ako sumuko at syempre umiwas nalang ako sa sikat ng araw. forgivable naman kung di ka natatamaan ng araw (although it doesnt look like nakakafresh na highlight) My boyfriend also noticed at pinuna nya. Kahit sobrang panget ng make up ko for the day di sya nag cocomment unless I ask for his opinion so gets nung nag sabi sya without me asking !!!!!!!!! Pagdating ko sa office gold na gold ang highlight. so binura ko nalang buong FOTD ko at nag tint nalang ako para di namumutla. Hayz Personally, okay siguro to for night use. Kung aaura ka ganyan, pero kung day use, gusto mo ng gandang natural lang, hindi to mag wowork, unless gusto mo yung ganung FOTD. yung kumikinang ka with glitters sa parts na nilagyan mo ng highlight na to. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm won't be using this again. Going back to my Bell Hypoallergenic na highlight cream hehehe baka benta ko nalang to lol cos I dont feel comfortable giving this to my sisters baka ibash nila ako sa choices ko hahahaha

Does its job, but nothing spectacular

I’ve been using this product on and off for about 2 months now. I really wanted to like it more than I do, but honestly it’s just “okay”. It’s legit in the sense that it’s a really bright highlighter, but it is kinda powdery and looks more glittery than luminous, if that makes sense. (I guess some may prefer that, but I generally don’t). I now use it more as a brow bone highlighter or an inner corner highlight for eyes than an all over the face highlighter. Like I said, it does its job, but it’s nothing spectacular.

One of the best local highlighter!!

Also one of the products that I love from this brand. It truly deserve its title as face gloss. For me, this is perfect when you would want it to be natural or be EXTRA blinding!! There's no big glitters with this formula, and for it's texture, it still feels nice even though it's not overly creamy which I don't mind as long as it delivers!
