Anytime Menstrual Cup

Anytime Menstrual Cup PH aims to provide Filipinas with good quality, affordable, and reusable period protection in the form of a cup-type insertion. Made of a high quality silicone used in the medical and food industry, each cup works by creating a vacuum-like seal once inserted to prevent leakage as it gathers menstrual flow. It can collect 3 times more liquid compared to ordinary pads or tampons, and depending on the strength of flow, will provide protection from leaks for up to 4 to 6 hours for heavy, strong flow and 8 to 20 hours for average flow—letting you last a full day before emptying the cup out. It not only helps you cut out the use of plastic during your monthly cycle but also is perfect for providing comfort and security during physical activities, including water-related sports.

Here's my review, for the advantages, 1st )Less embarrassing odor. You won’t have to worry about embarrassing menstrual odor wafting out at the most inopportune times since the fluid doesn’t get exposed to air as it does with pads and tampons. 2nd) Lower costs: Some cups are designed for long-term use – even years – providing significant cost savings over tampons and pads. And as per disadvantages, 1st, More mess. The main disadvantage that my patients note is that cup emptying can be messy. With practice, most women will work out a suitable technique and quickly get over the “ick factor.” 2nd, Cup removal issues. Removing the cup can sometimes present more of a learning curve. You shouldn’t pull on the stem. Instead, pinch the base and pull. The collected fluid then empties into the toilet. Rinse under tap water and reinsert. 3rd, Maintenance. After each cycle, sterilize the cup using boiling water or a sterilizing solution used for baby bottles.

a sustainable solution for periods

This is a good way to break the cycle of single use plastic materials. If you are looking for a way to save the environment, then you can switch out your pads or tampons for this. Admittedly, using a menstrual cup really has a learning curve. It is hard to do and would be really messy at the start. It took a while to get used to using it, but there are tutorials online to help you. It feels weird at first but would be worth it in the long run.

Good for a first timer

It's my first time to buy and use a menstrual cup and too glad it didn't disappoint!! I actually purchased this as it was on sale and fortunately, I got the right size and specs for my cervix height. As for the experience, it's quite weird the first time but I got accustomed eventually. No leaks!!! And yes, eco-friendly! 💚

No pads needed

So convenient to use. Imagine last September last year I been using this cup, until now and going and I wont say goodbye to this helpful cup I discovered. Where have you been in my life. Omg! So amazing and nakatipid po talaga ako sa pagbili ng pads. So if Im at grocery store, skip ko na ang napkin sa list ko kasi hindi ko na siya ginagamit ngayon. So helpful for me. Thanks to the maker of this one. Actually I have already 3, ang isa nasa bahay ng Mama ko kasi if ever I go there , no need for me to bring the cup if my period arrives. And I have another 2 more in my apartment

Sturdy with thick rim

The rim is quite thick. This menstrual cup is quite sturdy (not very soft). It comes with a tool to clean the 4 small holes of the cup. It comes with a small cloth bag, so I had to find something else to hold the boiling water while I sanitize the cup which is what I put the cup in for storage.

A great cup to try

Anytime 2 caught my attention as I’ve been wanting to try cups (Been using reusable pads and liners from Ka Nami Pasador for more than 2 years ). It’s on sale, considering the fact that menstrual cups cost too much, I didn’t hesitate to purchase. It worked well during my 1st day, minimal leaks, pain free insertion and not that difficult to pull out. But after I boiled it for 5 mins, the texture and color changed. I didn’t use it again due to the chemical changes.
