It was okay for my teeth but great for my skin!!
Okay so last week, I got this delivered alongside other hauls. I didn't have problems like most users who said it's messy - the best way to use it really is to wear your tooth brush, add a bit of toothpaste and moist it too prior to dipping to the powder. Just coat it rather than using copious amounts. While I did like the effects (super clean feeling after, slightly brighter teeth, lasting freshness), a friend told me of its effects on my enamel. Even with light brushing, its granules can be damaging.
So I decided to stop using it for my teeth... And instead, used it on my skin! :)
1 teaspoon charcoal powder
2 table spoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon honey
2 tablespoons coconut oil
Optional: 5 drops of essential oil of your choice
Before showering, very gently massage the mixture across your face. Ensure full coverage. You can use it across your other parts (elbows, rough patches on legs, post shave pits and down there). While spreading it gently, give yourself a nice massage na din. The whole process took around 20 minutes for me to cover my entire body (including your soles).
When you feel it being sticky and slightly stingy (the honey and sugar doing their work), rinse off. Don't scrub it- just let the water wash it off.
When you feel that the mixture is washed off na, give yourself a light scrub with just your palms until you no longer feel the oils.
Your skin will feel super smooth and smell slightly sweet after. No need for a soap wash, though when you shampoo just be sure to rinse your skin well too.
I recommend doing it as a weekend treat for yourself. Heaven!
Super kinis and kilig. Apply a light moisturizer after.
