Such a bargain

First off: this is a *powder*. That aside, this product is a nice, subtle, creamy bronzer that works well on my NC20 skin (I have it in Light Gold—which also isn’t gold). This doesnt veer too orange, and blends very, very well. Get this on sale and it is an absolute bargain.

Bronze 10 doesn't show up on my skintone huhu. It's basically a bronzer topper

I've been craving the "perfect" nude cheek product lately (I don't even know what that is) and I thought this might end my search since reviews online described it as a glowy bronzer. Got bronze 10 because light gold looked more cool toned and I wanted a blush bronzer dual function item. I also thought this shade would be the darker of the two, but it still isn't pigmented enough to show up (even tho my skin is only light-medium olive and I'm really pasty from not going outside during the e/gcq). On my cheeks, it looks like a sliiiightly darker brown than my skintone, with a layer of gold shimmers. I can make it work by layering it over a more pigmented blush or bronzer (I'm using the vice contour powder in Confeeerm) but I wouldn't have bought this if I knew I couldn't use it as is :/ Texture is nice and smooth although there's a ton of kickback when you touch the product, and the shimmers are very golden but thankfully not metallic. I ended up not liking the shimmers bc A. It emphasizes the areas with larger pores so I have to be careful with where I put my brush, and B. The shimmers are too dark for my taste, they're the same tone as my skin so they're visible golden yellow particles on my cheeks that don't look glowy or brightening when light isn't hitting them. I might be too harsh rn because I haven't figured out how to make powder highlighters work on me, but I don't like how it dull and makeup-y it looks, at least under artificial lights. Overall I don't think this product is that bad (it can work for some people probably), but I personally find this product disappointing :(
