Great rice substitute!

I love this product! It's a great rice substitute but it's more filling. It's a very versatile product so you can create many recipes with it. I've used it for savory dishes such as Arroz Caldo, and for sweet dishes such as an oatmeal-type of breakfast. More power to the team! Hope they bring their popped sorghum to BeautyMNL soon!

So far, so good.

I've been looking for a rice substitute aside from quinoa and I found this. I don't have much of a background about sorghum grains but I gave it a try. It cooks much longer than rice, but it's very filling. The texture is like corn or "binatog" but smaller. It's a bit more chewy than rice and the taste is subtle but you'll still know it's different from rice. My mom loved it so I repurchased and I think I'll be making this a pantry staple. I haven't tried yet the sorghum risotto they are suggesting at the back of the package ;)

Works for acid reflux

This was recommended as part of new diet for relief of acid reflux, and it works! Replaced breakfast with cooked sorghum, mixed with bananas sometimes. Over 2 weeks, overnight reflux has lessened a lot, enough to stop taking meds, lansoprazole. Keeps me full as well till lunch, no snacking mid-day anymore 😊
