”I already adore this formula! I’ve been using it for about 5 days only and I was impressed to see the smoothness in my skin right away, as well as improvement in my hyperpigmentation. I came to this forum to see if the responses in general are similar to mine (just to be sure the magic really was from this product), it really is :) So far, absolutely no signs of irritation as I was expecting, looking forward to up my retinol game as my skin gets more and more used to it.”

Apply a small amount to face in the PM as part of your skincare regimen, after water serums but before heavier treatments. Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected solar exposure. Store in a cool, dry place.

Caution: Retinoids can make the skin more sensitive to UV radiation. Sun protection is particularly important when using retinoids. This product must not be used in conjunction with other retinoids including retinol or retinoic acid. This product is not a treatment for acne. Acne-prone skin may experience a temporary increase in acne during the first few weeks of using any form of retinoid including those used in this formulation.

Note: When pregnant or breastfeeding, it is recommended to avoid any skincare products containing retinoids such as formulations with Granactive Retinoid or Retinol.

After using TO granactive retinoid 2% after a month or so, I started using this product. Once a week on the 1st week, then twice a week on the 2nd - 3rd week and every other night afterwards. Having seen the results, I would say I would never go back to a skincare regimen without retinol. My routine goes like this on the night I use this product: micellar water to remove make up, then I would wash my face with water, then hada labo toner, then the TO Retinol 0.2% in Squalane. I'm planning to up the concentration to .5% after I finish this bottle.

A Little Goes a Long Way

I tried this out because it's been recommended for acne-prone skin to use retinol. However, it's super tricky because if you use too much, it WILL make it worse. So far, I've been using this low dose for a month and I can honestly say that it does WONDERS. Again, the main thing with retinoids in general is to use it slowly (think the 1-2-3 steps) and start at the lowest dose because it can easily irritate your skin. Using a small amount is also highly advised. Trying this out, there was 0 irritation because of the squalane and I've noticed (and others too) that my pimple scars and spots aren't as dark and reddish anymore. So far, I'm using it 3 times a week as directed and again, it's a good start for anyone with acne prone skin! Once his bottle is finished, I'll up the dose, but otherwise, I highly recommend it! Just don't forget to put sunscreen during the morning as is makes your skin very photosensitive.
