True to its words

I've been seeing this product for a very long time but I didn't try because first, I'm lazy when it comes to taking care of my skin. Second, I am actually not fond of using this brand because I get a lot of breakouts after using this. Finally, I didn't really get the purpose of this product. I am a teacher so one day, I asked my students some tips on how to take care of your skin and then she recommended to use cold creams and that is where I remembered this product again after a few years. When I used this product, I was really amazed because it really removes my makeup just by rubbing it on my face. It was a bit hard to take off, but nevertheless it is still a good product.

A tad too greasy for my liking

I bought mine from a supermarket after hitting bottom on my previous cold cream, which is also from Pond's (the red anti-aging one). Since I already have a standard I can compare from, this green cold cream is a little bit too greasy in my opinion. The red one was a silky texture and this one just feels too thick and heavy for me (probably because the former's washable and the latter's not) One good thing is it didn't break me out. To at least lessen the greasiness, I wash my face after with my cleanser twice (luckily it's such a gentle cleanser so it didn't cause dryness) which is kind of a waste if you ask me (both of time and my cleanser lol). If ever I use this all up, I won't repurchase this. I'll go back to the red one.

The best

I purchase this on sale w/free skin genie healing stick which is a plus. This my 2nd tub. This will last long even if you’re using this everyday. I personally love using waterproof mascara & eyeliner by Maybelline. You’ll end up w/panda eyes if you’re not using decent makeup remover. You can also put it a ref for 30 minutes, as it melts on your face. I wash my face with cleanser & soap after this as its too oily. But overall, it is a good makeup remover.

Affordable make-up remover

My mom has been using this since I was a kid. It's good for removing make-up. I think this can be used as a replacement for the cleansing oil if you follow the Korean skin regimen (that's all the craze nowadays). It softens the skin and you only need very minimal cream to remove make-up so it lasts a very loooong time. It usually takes me several months before I hit the bottom of the container. You should try this!

Best facial cleanser

The classic and forever my go-to facial cleanser even amidst all these oil-based, water-based or gel-based cleansers. Not only is this inexpensive compared to the others but this never dries my skin or breaks me out. Plus, even if it's weird to say this about a facial cleaner but the smell is so familiar that it comforts me.

Definitely, THE HOLY GRAIL of cleansers!

My great grandmother, when she was still alive, was an avid Pond's Cold Cream user ever since I could remember. It's like a passed-on tradition, as my lola and my mom do, too. It's the only cleanser/makeup remover I have ever trusted to REALLY do the job. Cleanse/remove your makeup after a long day with this, then tissue off. Then I recommend using a foam cleanser afterwards to just remove any oily residue. I can guarantee you can sleep at night knowing your face was well taken care of. And oh! Look for this particular variant, the one with the green lid (I believe this is the one from the US). This is much better than its counterpart, the one on the smaller all-white jars with lemon or plain scent. The one with the green lid has a lighter consistency and is more effective in removing makeup and dirt compared to the other kinds. I don't know why, though.
