I had heard so many good things about the Real Techniques brand, especially how it was great for beginners, so I was so happy to get it as a gift for my last birthday. I love the buffing and contour brushes the most!!! I use the buffing brush for blush and bronzer, and I use the contour brush for my highlight. I tried using the square foundation brush to blend my foundation but it didn't really work out well for me. I also never find a need for the smallest detail brush so I recommend just finding a set with the buffing and contour brush or buying them individually if that's possible. The brushes are so soft and make putting on make-up easier and more fun!! Amazing quality and highly recommended :)
3 months agoI just got the brushes yesterday and I immediately tried the evening after. So far I can say by the feel of the bristles and the grip on the handles you can really say that these are truly quality brushes. The bristles are soft yet firm so you can rely on them to pick up products and distribute them on your face. The handles are sturdy and really ergonomic. Out of all the brushes in the set I have to say I love the buffing brush the most because its versatile for blending powder and creaml products. My least favorite would be the square foundation brush and its not evenly cut at the bristles too (or at least there's a small chip in mine) and its not good for anything in my foundation routine honestly.
3 months agoIf you're a beginner that wants to level up, this is the perfect addition to your collection. These synthetic brushes get the job done and done well. I'm no longer a beginner but these brushes have never left my make-up bag. Real Techniques proves you don't need to pay a lot of bucks for good quality brushes.
8 months agoThe brushes are super soft and it really transfers the product well. The hairs of the brush don't feel irritating or itchy and it doesn't fall out. The price is super worth it since you're getting 4 brushes plus a brush holder perfect for those who don't have one especially if you're a beginner
11 months agoI originally wanted to get the core collection but decided to get this instead because of the good reviews. The brushes are so soft and the feel of the handles is pretty decent. Definitely not cheap like those brushes that I get for a fraction of the price. I love the buffing brush and the contour brush. I can actually live with just the buffing brush if I ever have to pick just one from all of my face brushes! The flat foundation brush though, I don't use for foundation. I use it for contouring to make that line on the hollows of the cheeks. I use the detailer brush for concealing dark spots. I think RT brushes are expensive coz there are a lot cheaper alternatives in the market. But this set is worth it. You get 4 for the price and it's pretty good. I don't like the brush cup though, coz it's not sturdy to hold all of the brushes and it's too loose. Oh well, it's pretty much just a bonus.
12 months agoi've always been a fan of RT brushes. their brushes are really soft and kind to the skin. also,they're very newbie friendly. i love this set and i'm thrilled that it came with a brush cup. all the brushes work perfectly but i had to remove one star coz the flat foundation brush is already very slightly deformed after 2 uses and 2 washes. i can still use it though. all in all,RT brushes are a good investment if you want daily non-pro brushes that are of average price.
