Im buying more

I wanted to try this because I found the plastic applicator in the Playtex tampons a waste of plastic. I like how small it is, and I can bring one around in whatever bag. Unlike the other reviewers, I didn't find this difficult to insert at all. My only problem was that the 'normal' one couldn't handle my flow, and so Id need to change more than what Id consider usual. Ill try the 'super' one to see if it helps.

Need to be an expert first lol

Im having rushes every month due to wearing pads for a long time. Thats when i decide i have to use tampoons to avoid rushes in my private area. My problem here is that i cant insert it. Lol. Its so difficult to use that i wasted 2 tampoons already. Maybe tampoons arent for me.

Hard to insert

I was glad to see a brand of tampons without applicators so I decided to get one of these. In the past, I have used Playtex Gentle Glide with applicators and o.b. tampons without applicators. Playtex is a bit expensive (8 tampons for 130 or something) and I wasn't used to the applicator at first, but it does glide in smoothly. O.b. is no longer sold here, so I grabbed a box when I went to Hong Kong. That one also goes in smoothly. So I was disappointed when the Ladouce wouldn't go in. I eventually gave up because it hurt trying to insert it. I threw that first one away. I tried again the next month, but sadly, I still had trouble putting it in. Maybe I should have bought the minis. I managed it though, and I have to say that I didn't get any leaks after 5 hours. To sum it up, I like that this brand is made of organic cotton and has no applicator, but this might not be good for beginners because it's hard to insert.

Find an angle

I've been using 2 brands of tampoons before, one with a plastic applicator and the other without. I used this on our recent trip to the beach and i feel a little discomfort, the only reason i haven't removed it fast enough was because there's no nearby comfort room. You really have to find an angle on how to use it and make sure you don't feel any discomfort. It expands more than the usual tampoons so i guess it's more tipid.

First timer

Bought this for a beach trip. I thought this would be easy to use for a first timer since it's smaller than the normal ones but it was hard to insert since it didn't glide well. Maybe it's because it doesn't come with an applicator? Which is kinda disappointing because I got it for that reason, no applicator seemed more eco-friendly. Had to try 3 times to get it in. I read reviews that you're not supposed to feel anything once it's in but when it finally went in on the third try, it felt really uncomfortable. And by the 4th hour I was using it, I found it hard to walk/sit/move properly because it already hurt so I had to remove it.

3 months after...

It feels weird at first but it feels fine as the days go by. The pros of tampons compared to pads are: 1. No musky exposed-period scent 2. No mess! easy clean-up; and 3. Less waste compared to pads. On the other hand, the only con that I can give is that you can't keep track if it is soiled already. You have to check your clock from time to time. Since it is inside, you don't feel the heaviness. So keep track after 2-4 hours depending on your flow. I still use pads at night though.
