Can’t live without it
”I never write reviews but this product is worth taking the time to do so…. I am 29 years old and started getting mild cystic acne last year. Not sure why… maybe it was because I started to wear foundation, or maybe because of my hormones. I changed my foundation and went on the birth control pill and I am now barely getting cystic pimples anymore… but those are challenging! I was desperate to find something to make them go away and after searching the Internet, I found this website. Ordered this product… and haven’t stopped using it since. I only use it when I get a pimple. As soon as I feel one coming, I apply it right away. I apply it in the morning under my makeup so that it could work on it during the day and then before going to bed. It is very hard to apply sometimes because it is very liquid-y and just runs down your face, and if I use a Q-tip it absorbs everything… so I simply use my clean fingertips. It really helps in bringing out the puss… I use it on regular pimples too. But I honestly can’t live without it … buy it!”

TL;DR : Doesn't have the drying lotion's WOW factor but this one's a reliable all-rounder
I ran out of the drying lotion (there's still plenty of pink sediment but it's all dried up) so I repurchased and got this one as well. And let me tell you, unless you get ripe, ready-to-pop pimples at the get-go (lucky you!), go for this instead of the drying lotion, or get both. This stops pimple in its tracks. All nine of mine (who went to town overnight) either dried flat or no longer inflamed after the first application. By the second night, more than half are flat. Now I'm just nursing three cystic ones which used to take weeks to subside but, at the rate it's going, will be flat in a week, tops. Also, it's runny so you use less of this than you would the drying lotion. No sting, no dryness too (it dries the acne but calms the surrounding skin). I put 3 layers of this (dab, dry, dab, dry, dab) at night and during the day if I'm staying in. Sharing Renee Rouleau's guide to getting rid of blemishes:
"FOR PUSTULAR BLEMISHES: The best course of action is to NOT act the minute you feel it coming on by using a overly drying spot treatment, instead, apply an anti-inflammatory acne spot treatment like Anti Cyst Treatment or simply leave it alone and wait a day or two for the infection to appear on the surface. Waiting will allow you to effectively control the blemish without damaging and drying out the skin. Once the whitehead is truly visible, gently squeeze out the infection with your fingers wrapped in tissue and then once it’s removed, apply a spot-drying treatment, like Night Time Spot Lotion, which will work its way into the opening of the skin and dry up the remaining infection within the pore lining. If you apply a drying treatment before the whitehead is on the surface, it will simply dry out the surface of the skin keeping the infection trapped underneath for longer which ultimately will make the blemish last longer and cause more damage to the skin. However, at any stage of the breakout, it’s a good idea to try to keep the blemish calm and bacteria minimized so Daytime Blemish Gel is a great one to use under makeup.
FOR CYSTIC BLEMISHES: Mostly occurring in the chin and jaw areas, it is important to remember that cysts are like submarines; they are meant to stay under the skin. No matter what method you employ, cysts will never rise to the surface of the skin. This means no picking! Your best bet is to treat the symptoms of the cyst with Anti Cyst Treatment, which will help dissolve the infection from within while also preventing future cysts."
Know the type of blemish you have and replace Anti Cyst Treatment with the buffering lotion and Night Time Spot Lotion with the drying lotion and you're set. You're welcome.
This product is true to its claims. After doing my night time routine, I squeeze about 2-3 drops of this and dab it to my pimples or blemishes. It works so fast for pimples (literally overnight) -- even those painful big ones! For blemishes it takes about 2-3 days to almost disappear. I've been using this for more than half a year now and I'm still not half way finished with this. A little really does go a long waaaay. A must have for people with acne and blemishes. :)3 months ago
