Prior to testing this product, the only gel I ever used was aloe vera. It did a pretty good job at keeping me breakout-free, but I have normal skin, so I rarely had problems with acne. My main concerns have always been dullness, and dry patches on my cheeks and forehead, especially after I shower.
The gel dries quickly, and it's not sticky at all when applied and when it dries. It gives off a strong alcohol scent that was a little overbearing at first, but became tolerable with time. This has SO MUCH product! The tub carries a good amount of gel to last you at least three months. I used this every day and night for 20 days and barely made a dent in mine. Since there’s a lot of gel to be used, I also applied this on dry patches on my arms, as well as my elbows and knees.
After using this on my face for some 3 weeks, I could see and feel the difference. My skin definitely felt tighter and bouncier, which was a result I hoped for since Baroness claimed that the product promotes collagen production. It also gave me a subtle glow, which I loved. Most importantly, it evened out my complexion and lightened dark areas on my face, like the side of my nose.
This is my go-to moisturizer for summer season because it doesnt leave my face feeling sticky. It also smells refreshing and my face reacts to it well. I never had breakouts with this one. But at the same time, im also aware that they really dont use much snail mucin in this product. I hope they reformulate it. But overall, this product aint that bad.
Similar to their aloe gel moisturizer, this snail gel works pretty much the same way. It works great and my skin prefers it to the aloe moisturizer. A little goes a long way and it absorbs into the skin fairly quickly. It isn't sticky, and doesn't leave any residue. It isn't thick, which I love since I'm able to use facial oil and sunscreen on top of it.
