Good for a half-hour, not overnight
I like a lot of Skin Genie's products, but I'm on the fence with this one. I got a sample of it from a bazaar sale before, and I was honestly impressed, but maybe it was somehow more finely made then their bigger tubs? I got this on a buy one take one deal on their site, and I was excited, but with the actual product, now I'm not completely sure. It does actually work! I have felt like it refined my skin and clarified it, without my skin feeling dry at all. Which is weird, considering it's not really a creamy product, and with the clay you would think it would dry you out. It wasn't exactly super moisturized, no, but it felt great, not tight or parched at all. That said, it's not really the kind of mask I'd like to sleep with on. The texture is really gritty and chunky as opposed to creamy. When you sleep, it would kind of be like having bits of oatmeal left on your pillow and bed. Not exactly the most pleasant experience. The price is fine, since you don't really need too much, and I think if you use it as just a quick half-hour mask to rinse off after, it would be okay. But as advertised? Maybe not. I'd still give it a three and a half stars if I could though, and it's still worth a try.
