Hello Gorgeous! first began in 1998 as Skinline, a day spa in Hagonoy, Bulacan that offered facial and body care treatments. Using homemade products as alternatives to traditional cosmetics and body care, Skinline became the first and only specialty personal care concept of its kind in the area. In 2016, the Day Spa then branched out into Skinline Essentials, offering the clinic’s bestselling products to a wider customer base. Faced with Skinline Essentials’ steady growth and appeal to hip, young, adventurous ladies, the minds behind the brand decided they needed their own makeover. You can now enjoy their Filipina-friendly products under the beauty brand Hello, Gorgeous!
This lotion gives a matte finish indeed. Even though it is a sunblock lotion that has SPF 30, it gives a great baby powder compared to most of other brands that gives you a plain or chemical smell. Speaking of the matte finish, It would be a hard time to apply to dry skin.4 months ago
I love this lotion! It doesn't leave a white film on the skin unlike Skin Genie's Skin Light Lotion. I thought it would do the same, but I waited for around a minute and it subsided. It completely blended with my skin. Top-notch product for a morena! <3 <3 <35 months ago
I've been a big fan of Hello Gorgeous products ever since I stumbled upon their stall in a shop fair 3-4 years ago, and this one is no different. This is quite different from what they started with--a really thick, overwhelmingly baby powder-scented cream. This lotion is at just the right consistency and still smells subtly powdery but also like cocoa, which I love. It isn't greasy like they claim and does dry matte, though maybe not "glowing." lol. It also absorbs easily, though putting it on, you might be alarmed of the white cast that just gets whiter as you try to rub it in. It takes a couple of seconds to fade, though you might have to make sure to really spread it evenly. I'm not sure that the whiteness goes away completely, since I'm slightly fair, but it looks fine on me. I often wear it when I go out during the day, but I do also use it when I go on jogging (and tried it for swimming), and I can't say that it's waterproof or completely sweat-proof (but they don't have claims for that so it's fine). I'd also wish that it had specifics on whether it is both UVA and UVB, or broad spectrum, etc. But other than that, for a good, affordable, local sunscreen, it's great.7 months ago
