”I’m in my late twenties and began noticing faint worry lines on my forehead, so I knew it was time to get serious about anti-aging. I chose this product as a great intro to retinoids plus it has squalane. My skin is highly tolerant and resilient, but it is important to ease this product into your routine! I used it at most twice (maybe thrice) a week, but I was still experiencing pilling. So I chose to add it after letting other acids (AHAs or BHAs) sit on my face for 20 min and then letting this sit for an additional 20 min before my creams. Three drips on the back of my hand is enough for my entire face and neck. Almost three months later and those worry lines are gone and my face is noticeably firmer!”

After doing lots and lots of research, I found out that retinol is the bomb when it comes to anti-aging. Since one needs to be cautious in using retinol, I decided to try first this Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane which is supposed to be milder on the skin, before jumping into retinol/tretinoin products. On the first week I used it twice, then every other night the 2nd week, then every night. No irritation whatsoever. I would say I am happy with the results that I see. Every morning my face is brighter and more plump. Like there's a healthy glow that I never saw from other products that I've used. After more than a month, I think my face got used to it already and I decided to up my retinol game and use the real retinol .2 % also from TO. I have just started this week and will make a review after a month or so of use. :)3 months ago
This was the first of 4 TO products I bought but i'm only doing the review after almost 2 months because out of the 4 products (others are matrixyl, nmf+ha and ascorbyl glucoside 12%), I waited to see results since i'm only using this every other night. This particular formulation is the gentlest out of all the retinoid/retinol products and I bought this so I could use it around my eye area. So first, it really is gentle and there is no stinging sensation or redness whatsoever. Second, since this is retinoid, there is some dryness which I could feel in the morning compared to when I wake up from a non-retinoid night. Third, probably because of the gentle formulation, the results are very slow and i'm not sure if its due solely to this or the other TO products I use with it. But I have naturally deep, hollowed contours under my eyes and recently, those under eye lines have become more pronounced and look "folded". After using a month's worth of this, I saw that the "folded" line area is now almost gone which I can also attest based on how I use less concealer to "erase" them. So it does work but slowly and with the help of other products.4 months ago
The Ordinary products are always sold out here in BeautyMNL so after reading a bunch of good reviews, waitlisted on most of the retinoid products here. Didn't really understand the difference with this and the other Granactive Retinoid and ended up buying this one. Surprised to find out that it is actually an oil-like substance since I've gotten so used to Korean watery serums. It doesn't stay oily on the face so it's ok. Minor quibble on the dropper -- it feels cheap, dunno how else to describe it. Can't comment on the anti-aging claims yet though but I'm hopeful.4 months ago
I've been using this consistently for around a week. I love this product. Unlike other retinoids which can be irritating to the skin, this one is really mild. The first time I used this my skin was extra soft the next day. Consistent use for a week did not result in any skin irritation or breakouts. A side effect I did notice though is it is drying so if you already have dry skin you would need to moisturize more when using this. Overall I really like this and would definitely recommend this.5 months ago
