Mango Tango

Th cacao nibs take the centerstage because they're what make this truly a tangy granola. The little pieces make the difference, and I appreciate the light sweetness of the coconut sugar. It's not excruciatingly sweet, especially when I add a lot of milk. I'm torn about the green mangoes. The little bits offer that sour contrast to the chocolate, but there are occasions when the chunks are quite big - that I find it so hard to chew!

It's Good but....

I had received this variant as a freebie. When I opened the pack for the first time, it smelled like some sort of syrup medicine. I initially thought it was just me being maarte and all, however my officemates also confirmed the smell. Getting past the medicine smell, the granola actually tastes good. There is a right amount of bitterness and crunchiness of the cacao nibs then the sourness from the green mango gives that tangy punch. But, the overall taste is ruined by a medicine after taste. I had requested three of my officemates to try it with me and I got varying feedbacks. Two agrees with me, and one said there is no medicine aftertaste or smell and the granola actually tastes good. I guess it will all boil down to one's taste buds and personal preference.

Good healthy snack!

I was a little apprehensive trying this out at first I was given it as a gift, and I'm not the biggest fan of green mango, but this tasted much better than I expected. It's crunchy, tastes tangy as the name suggests, and it makes a great healthy snack for when you're wading through traffic in the car.
