Can you say long-a** rave review?

Colourette has been hitting it out of the park with their releases lately, and when their Liq'Laquers (that name tho) went on a buy 2 get 1 promo, I decided to take a stab at them. I've tried quite a few liquid to mattes (e.g. Hello Gorgeous, Ellana, Everyday Love, Pink Sugar), and some of them have been fine, but not really anything you'd stand up and take notice of (as I do love me some Jeffree Star and Sugarpill, so take that as you will). I got Yasha, a pale beige, Sia, a light taupe I was really drawn to, and for the heck of it, got Gigil, a terracotta. They're not terribly expensive, but not cheap either-- it is a lot of product though and the formula does make up for it. It's not watery or thin, but not moussey either, and formula is able to "stretch" on your lips so it doesn't flake or split on your liplines like a lot of other liquid lips, which is great. It's pigmented, and the minty scent and feel are a welcome surprise, though you do have to kind of finesse the product on your lips so you're not just moving product around. You do also have to give them time to really set, else it would fade straight away. Like almost all liquid mattes, they will get drying in time, give or take a few hours, and I have noticed that the product does surrender to multiple drinks of a beverage. But it doesn't flake though, and it doesn't layer badly either. I did know what I was getting into by purchasing pale colors like Sia and Yasha, which would have a tendency to highlight your liplines, but a second coat actually fixes the problem without being uncomfortable, and they also take well to a balm over it. Gigil was a revelation though! Just saying that it's a "terracotta" doesn't do it justice. I would never go for this kind of brown-y orange-red, but it's honestly a flattering, interesting, bold-but-everyday "nude." No wonder they brought the color into their permanent line. Despite their issues, which they share with a lot of existing liquid mattes, I wouldn't actually hesitate to get them again, and they're really worth a try.

I Don't Know If I Got A Dud :(

After reading so many good reviews of this, I finally gave in and got Isla. The packaging and minty scent reminded a lot of Skin Genie's The Millenials collection (which was imho had a horrible formula). The shade I got was a nice, neutral tone medium-dark peach which I adored. As expected, it did oxidize on my acidic lips into a dark nude shade which I still fancied. As for the actual formula, it applied smoothly though a tad streakily. When it completely dried down, it became flaky and crumblyn af! I don't know if it was because of my eternally dry lips or if I received a lemon! It wasn't also very food/liquid proof as it claimed to be (heck, it started flaking off after I drank water). I wanted to like this product so badly but alas, it turned out differently for me. For it's price, I'd say "nay" to this product.

Love that minty feel on my lips!

I got curious on Colourette's liquid lippie so I decided to buy Miranda. I super love the minty and tingling feel on my lips when applied. It sets like a powder and lasts for more than 4 hours. Although, I noticed that you really need to exfoliate and prime your lips before using this since it has a tendency to flake and leave a chappy lips after. Also, the price is quite expensive to other liquid lipstick brands. Nonetheless, this is a great liquid lippie for a local brand :)

Product (5/5) but packaging is (1/5)

The product delivers its promise, if not more, with it's not drying and minty application plus very lightweight feel for a full coverage and long lasting product. My only problem is it's feeble packaging. One low drop of the product (in its box even!) dismantled the plastic body from the black lining (the part where the cover is screwed). I think they made the packaging look classy at the expense of durability, which is a waste because it couldn't take care of the product now.

Amazing Colorstay

I've been using this (shade: Deniz) for almost 3 months and I'm very satisfied with the product. With primer use, the color stays almost throughout the day (Around 8-10 hours). It won't smear, but there will be "flakes" of color if no lip balm/glass is applied throughout the day as well. Even without a primer the product will apply smoothly but will leave "flakes". However the color will still stay on the lips. Upon application, there's like a peppermint feeling which helps with making your lips look fuller and more plump. Also a fan of how this is locally made and also cruelty free! Overall, would definitely repurchase!

Fave Colourette product

I'm a fan of Colourette Cosmetics and this one became my favorite due to its amazing lasting power. It's 100% smudge and transfer-proof. The color selection is gorgeous and very Pinay-friendly. The formula is so light and feels weightless on my lips, and it has a cooling sensation once applied. It dries down to a very matte finish. For a student, it's kind of expensive, but I definitely don't mind splurging for this baby. However, I have "Eli" for a year now, and I just noticed that the consistency of the product changed from being liquid to kind of creamy and a little stickier (in the bottle). I don't know why that happened, since it's in a square bottle so there's no way that I accidentally left mine open, so keep that in mind if you want to buy this. "King" and "Deniz" are definitely the shades to score.
