Coverage Foundation

CLAIM TO FAME: A full-coverage formulation with a blendable pigment suspension system

FAST FACTS: Contains higher pigment levels than the Serum Foundation; lightweight, non-oily texture leaves a smooth finish; treated tints deliver a rich, highly-saturated effect and are suspended in The Ordinary’s proprietary spreadability system; won’t settle on fine lines and stays on for longer; leaves a semi-matte finish; compatible with most primers but works exceptionally well with The Ordinary’s own primers; features a pH level of 6.00-7.50; vegan formula is cruelty-free and doesn’t contain alcohol, oil, nuts, gluten, and soy

PERFECT FOR: High coverage without the heavy makeup look

”Nothing annoys me more than when someone says that because they didn’t like a product that means it may be good for people “new” to makeup, but not for a beauty buff! I am a makeup buff & I LOVE this foundation! I ordered this online after trying soo many “amazing” foundations that just wouldn’t stick to my super oily tzone. Nothing looks more disgusting than when your tzone has lost all its makeup but your cheeks are still intact! I bought tf peaches foundation the same day I ordered this thinking it would be about a week or 2 til this arrived. It came in 4 days!! I reach for this more than any of my expensive foundations (ud, tf, mjacobs, mufe) & drugstore holy grails (fitme, Milani, nyx, loreal). While I love most of the above mentioned foundations, this one is the best color match & I never have to worry about whether it has come off my tzone 2 hours into my workday, & one I have rarely ever had to touch up 6-8 hours later. I cannot say that of any of the above mentioned brands that I use.”

Shake before use. Dispense a small amount onto the palm or the back of your hand. Smooth on and blend throughout the face, ideally outward from the midpoint of the face.

Serum Foundations sold in the European Union offer an SPF 15 claim. This protection is achieved without the use of chemical sunscreens and only through physical protection from Titanium Dioxide. Additionally, no nano-particles are used to achieve this sun protection. These attributes are unique in foundations because it is exceptionally difficult to create a natural, lightweight look and consistent shades when using only non-nano forms of Titanium Dioxide for sun protection without any chemical sunscreen agents.

Please note that the formulations are and will be the same in all markets but the packaging will claim SPF 15 only in the European Union while regulatory processes for claiming SPF in other markets are carried out individually.

Each foundation format is available in 21 shades. The shades are divided into three categories: 1 for fair to lighter tones, 2 for medium tones; and 3 for darker tones. Each category is then classified further by a second digit from 0 to 3 to indicate depth within each category. Finally, a letter is added to the shade code to identify the undertone: P (Pink) and R (Red) indicate cool undertones for lighter and darker shades respectively; N indicates a Neutral tone; Y indicates a Yellow undertone. Each shade code has a descriptive name as well. For example, 1.2P is Light with Pink Undertones while 3.0Y is Medium Dark with Yellow Undertones. For a complete shade guide, please click here.

Three of the shades have an additional letter at the end: S indicates Silver highlights and G indicates Gold highlights; these shades use natural-looking and exceptionally fine dispersions of metallic effect pigments for added highlight. The Ordinary will introduce individual enhancers and highlighters in the near future to customize all shades.

The unique suspension system used in the formulations allows shades to look so natural on skin that three shades or more will suit most skin tones. The shades can also be mixed at the time of application if desired.

Full Coverage!!!

This foundation for me is a dupe for MAC foundation!! The coverage is super on point and this is recommended for people who have oily skin like me. Wore it at work today and it stays on me without creasing for the whole shift! It’s rare for oily people to use a foundation that doesn’t crease. I’d give this a double thumbs up! i think the only downside of this is the shade range here in BeautyMNL for the ordinary needs to expand since the ordinary has a wide range of shades which I recommend for BeautyMNL to have all shades in stock for customers to pick the exact shade for them.

Medium to heavy coverage

Medium to heavy coverage foundation. A bit yellow to gold color for my skin tone. Reasonable price compare to the other brand. Long lasting liquid foundation. I hope there is spf included for this foundation. And the other shade will be available soon so i can try the lighter shades.

walang heavy feeling!!

It is indeed full coverage but without the heavy makeup feeling!!! I definitely recommend, although i usually start feeling oily after 5-6 hours, pero ok lang! retouch na lang girl!! I haven't tried it with a setting spray tho, so i feel like it will last the whole day if you do.

I purchased the color 2.0 YG from another online site because it was out of stock in beautymnl! I’m in the shade NC30 of mac for reference. This is a medium coverage foundation. Way smaller than I thought it would be but for the price it’s okay. The wear time is great and I’ve tried using it while working out. Stayed on great!!!

This foundation is lightweight, it doesn’t give you a heavy feeling. I felt like I’m not using any foundation when I used this. It is also not cakey! I will recommend this foundation to my friends. It’s worth the buy, it’s a little bit expensive. But it’s worth it and I don’t breakout.

You get what you pay for

For the price, it'll do. Coverage is medium at best and decent staying power. I'm normal/combination and I find that I need to moisturize heavily on dry spots as this clings to rough, spot-treated areas on my face. Also, the shade range isn't great for medium skintone. I'm a Bobbi Brown Natural, Marc Jacobs Shameless Y320, Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless 128 (equivalent to MAC NC25/30, face and body C3 according to temptalia) and the 2.1Y is too yellow while the 2.0YG is too pale. I got the perfect shade when I mixed both. Final verdict: will use up my current stash but won't be buying again.
