Lyin’ King is a deep raspberry that has been a part ColourPop’s ultra satin line since the very beginning. It was part of the original line and I have been eyeing it ever since. It’s one of the two reds that caught my eye, London Fog being the other one. It’s a universally flaterring red that can go from day to night.
Lyin’ King is super pigmented. A rich berry red coats your lips with just one layer. The satin finish gives your lips a full and healthy look. It did not transfer as much and lasted longer than I expected. It did transfer a bit but not as much as some if the satins I’ve tried before.
ColourPop’s satin lipsticks are really one of the best formulas I’ve tried and one of my favorites. You won’t go wrong with them. 😊
I don't usually go for bright hot pinks, but this one is good. One thing I noticed though is under certain lights, it can appear too bright (almost like neon pink) which I hate :( but under normal circumstances, if I put a light layer it's not so bad. For a shade I don't really usually go for, I would say I don't hate this. It's ok, but I'm deducting a star for the weird inconsistency of its vibrancy andddd it also emphasises yellowy teeth, and another star because it appears so much brighter and lighter/neony in person than it does on the bottle AND colourpop website.over 1 year ago
Did someone say raspberry?! For some reason, a "saturated raspberry" sounded like something I REALLY needed so I added Lyin' King to my berry collection. Love the shade so much. It's bright, but still warm. Just the right amount of spunky. It looks similar to Bad Habit, but it's brighter and more lively (Bad Habit is deeper and more muted). The ultra satins have a great formula, of course. It's a quirky shade that's sure to spunk up any lewk!over 1 year ago
