Okay, this is the first time I used an oil on my face. I used to believe that oils bring harm on our face but due to intensive research (wow) about facial oils and face, I was convinced to use an oil for my face. Grapeseed oil comes from... well, grape seeds that were thrown away from winemaking. This oil has high linoleic acid perfect for oily, acne-prone skin, and other essential fatty acids that help lock in moisture and make skin soft and supple. I use this oil every night before sleeping and before I go to work during the day. After cleansing, I pat and tap this all over my face (2-3 drops) to let it be absorbed by my skin. The first few days I broke out, and quickly looked up if it was just purging. And it was! The oil is rich in vitamins that hastens cellular turnover (aka exfoliation) so take a chill pill first if you see your whiteheads poppin' out like mushrooms. If you're still iffy about it, wait for a week or two and if the breakouts are still there, grapeseed oil must not be for you. So far, mine has subsided and my skin has started to tighten and smoothen. Make sure you exfoliate and cleanse your face well before using any oil! Oils lock in moisture, including dirt and dead skin cell that could lead to more breakouts! So far, I'm good with this product. I would have to test it with a facial mask as an extra step of my routine (currently have five: cleanse, exfoliate, tone, hydrate, and moisturize/sunscreen) and a BB cream for makeup during the day. Fingers crossed!
