Okay, this is the first time I used an oil on my face. I used to believe that oils bring harm on our face but due to intensive research (wow) about facial oils and face, I was convinced to use an oil for my face. Grapeseed oil comes from... well, grape seeds that were thrown away from winemaking. This oil has high linoleic acid perfect for oily, acne-prone skin, and other essential fatty acids that help lock in moisture and make skin soft and supple. I use this oil every night before sleeping and before I go to work during the day. After cleansing, I pat and tap this all over my face (2-3 drops) to let it be absorbed by my skin. The first few days I broke out, and quickly looked up if it was just purging. And it was! The oil is rich in vitamins that hastens cellular turnover (aka exfoliation) so take a chill pill first if you see your whiteheads poppin' out like mushrooms. If you're still iffy about it, wait for a week or two and if the breakouts are still there, grapeseed oil must not be for you. So far, mine has subsided and my skin has started to tighten and smoothen. Make sure you exfoliate and cleanse your face well before using any oil! Oils lock in moisture, including dirt and dead skin cell that could lead to more breakouts! So far, I'm good with this product. I would have to test it with a facial mask as an extra step of my routine (currently have five: cleanse, exfoliate, tone, hydrate, and moisturize/sunscreen) and a BB cream for makeup during the day. Fingers crossed!about 1 year ago
I loooooove this product! My skin can be very oily especially in the summer. Because I go to work and commute in the middle of the day, my skin had always been a problem for me. It was so difficult to find a product that will not clog my pores. I am so happy to have found this product. At first I thought this would make me oilier but no! I put this on every night and when I wake up in the morning, my face is so bright and no trace of oil. I use this in the morning as well and at the end of the day, even after all the sweat and pollution I had during the day, my face still looks bright and has less oil than before. I highly recommend this product.almost 2 years ago
Being an oily-skinned gal who breaks out at the slightest of irritations, of course I'd avoid any sort of oil into my regimen (even cleansing oils because I'm that much of a scare-dy cat after a particularly horrible experience with Biore's oil cleanser). Using facial oils was considered a fad for a while, but I've been reading some reviews which back up their claims with 'scientific' (taking it loosely here) evidence. So, I decided to try it out - starting with grapeseed oil because it's thought to help with oiliness and acne. To start, I incorporated it slowly and gradually into my routine. Once a week at first then twice a week, I mix 2 drops of oil with my night moisturizer. Thus far, I've been happy with the results. It absorbs into the skin quite well, and so far, it hasn't caused unsolicited breakouts. I've only been using it for around 3 weeks so I've yet to see significant results. Just, thus far, the experience wasn't too bad.over 2 years ago
