”This product gets such a bad rep, but it is truly an effective and elegant product. This vitamin c gave me a serous glow. I mean a people ask me are you pregnant glow (I’m not), a what’s your secret glow. I love the texture, the transient grittiness gives a mild physical exfoliation (something I’ve stopped doing since incorporating deciem products). The active penetrates well and works. I use a small amount and since combining this with the resveratol ferulic acid it is out of this world!! Give the combo a try. Eventually your skin will look so good you won’t need makeup and you won’t have a problem with the texture meshing with other products!!”

”Ok this stuff rocks. The product itself I expected to be gritty and just not that elegant. Almost bought the other 30% formula. Glad I tried this one. The powder that seems to be a problem for others isn’t for me. In fact I find this formula to be not grainy in texture at all. It’s a light lotion feeling with a touch of vit c powder that dissipates within a minute. This is the best ascorbic acid with the highest strength in what I feel is an elegant feeling lotion formula. The fact that it’s less than ten dollars makes this seem unreal. Seeing is believing.”

WHAT YOU GET: (1) Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres
INGREDIENTS: Ascorbic Acid, Squalane, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Coconut Alkanes, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glucomannan, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Trihydroxystearin, BHT

Formulations are updated from time to time as part of our commitment to innovation. As such, the ingredient list shown here may vary from the box of the product depending on time and region of purchase.

Apply a small amount to face in the AM or the PM. A tingling sensation can be expected after application. If the sensation is too strong to tolerate, the formula can be mixed on each application with other creams or serums of your preference.

Note: The format of this formula is a suspension of very fine L-Ascorbic Acid powder and, as such, provides the most direct exposure of extremely high concentrations of Vitamin C topically. With such format, there are 2 important things to consider:

1) A very strong tingling, but non-irritating sensation is expected during the first 1-2 weeks of use until the skin’s tolerance to such high exposure is elevated. If the sensation is too strong to tolerate, the formula can be mixed on each application with other creams or serums of your preference.

2) The powder exposure to the skin disallows the formula to feel like a serum, lotion, or cream and each application requires a few seconds to feel absorbed by the skin. This formula feels gritty for a few seconds after application. If you prefer to avoid this gritty feel, we suggest the Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone.

I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it as well. It does the job, I’m just not a fan of the gritty feel. I normally put vit C after my moisturizer, but with this it just makes all the other products on my skin crumble like scum. What I do, I put a pea size amount on my fingers, rub it together and gently pat it on my face. I also think that it doesn’t really absorbs or set on my face.

Affordable High Concentration Vitamin C

I bought this primarily to test out its brightening effect. Vitamin C is supposed to brighten up your skin and give you a certain glow (or so I've read). Also, it is kind of affordable compared to other Vitamin C products. I have been testing this for a month now (but doing it on and off). I purposely didn't put this on daily because I don't want my skin to react. I only put this on during the night time just to be sure that it won't react to sunlight. It has a slightly gritty feel when I put it on and it has a weird, slightly metallic smell afterward (but I don't smell anything when I try to smell the bottle). Have not really seen much difference but I hope it will do something in the coming weeks.

not what i expect it to be

I've read a ton of reviews and it's all about the grittiness, the stinging, but it's actually not really gritty and surprisingly doesn't sting on my face and neck. woke up to a very oily face (tho i do have an oily face but this morning it's way waaaaay oily) and tried to wash it but it feels weird because it felt like trying to wash a plate with frozen butter... lol. then my face got a bit sensitive because once i've washed and dried my face, it felt so sensitive to touch specially on the sides of my nose looking forward to a great, visible change on my skin in the weeks to come.

Not your ordinary moisturizer

I used up the entire tube before posting this review. Only used it as a night moisturizer for my face and neck. CONS - It really stings. I recommend using this together with aloe vera. I also mixed it with drops of The Ordinary hyaluronic serum. - Smells weird - Product felt rough on the face, the feeling was similar to exfoliation - Super oily, let it dry before going to bed PROS - It works! I've been getting a lot of compliments about my skin. Some said it was glowing. - Patience is the key. I did not notice immediate changes but come week 3 of continued use before going to bed, I noticed that my blemishes somehow faded. - A little goes a long way. I think my tube lasted for 2 months.

I have been using products with vitamin C ingredient in the longest run, but this is the first time I have tried a product for the purpose of getting as much vitamin C. Vit C is one of the best vitamins you could reward your skin with. It not only improves your complexity, it also clears our pimple marks, smoothens texture, and removes toxins. With 23% pure Vit C, this product will up your Vit C gaming to heights. You'll see results as early as your first to second apply. You will also feel how concentrated this product is as it gives a little tingling, almost-uncomfortable, a-little-burning feels. The only thing I don't like this product is its smell. It smells like a burnt plastic. I have to put on extra pillow case whenever I apply this. But overall, a must have product.

May be a good product for other people but it didn’t work with mine. Upon my initial application, my skin reacted and felt tiny bumps the morning after. If you have sensitive skin, Reconsider doing a patch test first for observation. If skin reactions persist move on to a milder vitamin c product.
