”I’ve been using this product since about late April. (It’s now mid October.) I use it mainly as a hydrator; I have sensitive, combination skin that gets super oily. I need a good moisturizer, especially in the colder months, but can’t use heavy creams because they make my skin greasy and clog my large pores. I tried a popular skincare brand for over a year, but never found a moisturizer that worked for me; they were either way too thick or not moisturizing enough, and even the thick ones still left my skin feeling dehydrated, I think because they weren’t really penetrating the surface. Then I tried Buffet and this is IT! I use it morning and night after cleansing, applying 3 drops to my face and neck. It has a slippery feel and spreads very easily if you’re using enough, but after just a few minutes, it completely sinks in and doesn’t leave any oily or sticky residue. My skin looks radiant and not greasy, which is such a blessing. Even better is the way my skin feels- hydrated, comfortable, and like I’m not wearing anything. (I wish I’d had this 2 years ago when I was going through horrendous breakouts and rashes and couldn’t figure out why. Spoiler: it was DAIRY.) I can use this under makeup with no issues; I usually just use a mineral spf moisturizer under makeup, but if I feel dehydrated, or am wearing a very matte (drying) foundation, I’ll use a little Buffet in the areas where I feel most dry. Sometimes I get little flakes on my forehead near my hairline, but if I use a drop of Buffet before makeup, no flakes. I have tried the Hyalauronic Acid product but did not like the texture which is thicker and much stickier than Buffet. I will keep using Buffet over anything else because it works great for hydration and has extra ingredients which are supposed to be good for skin. I can’t really speak to any anti-aging effects; that’s not why I use this product, but it certainly can’t hurt. ;) My skin feels soft and comfortable, and to me that is well worth the price. I’ve gone through I think three bottles, and just ordered two more. I love this product!”

”Bought this for my mother to get her started on an actual skincare routine. She’s never really taken care of her skin before and needed something to soften her wrinkles, slow the forming of new ones, and just overall give her skin a boost. She’s been using it day and night for about two weeks. The skin on her face and neck is softer, wrinkles look less harsh, and her redness has diminished significantly! She hasn’t had any issues with smell, texture, or anything. Really hoping to see continued progress.”
”To note : It did slightly burn her neck the first few days, caused itching and redness, but that’s gone away. It does leave a slight tacky feeling and some shine (on my oily skin)…but it’s fine for her dry skin, soaks right up. If you have oily skin, be sure this is early in your skincare.”

This is probably my favorite Ordinary Product next to Caffeine Solution. A little bit pricey, but I think that's reasonable just looking at the amount of its ingredients. What I like more about the buffet is that it didn't break me out and I can use this both in AM and PM. It also did not give me dry patches in my nose area which happens a lot. It is very hydrating, but I know some people my not like the smell and thick consistency. I read that you have to at least use it for 3-5mos to really see its anti-aging effects.about 1 month ago
I've been using this for about six months now, both in the morning and evening. I'll admit to not really seeing a marked difference whether I use it or not, but I've been looking more into anti-aging skincare and I'm not expecting a marked difference in a day-to-day basis for this. This is the long game, after all. I do like it and have repurchased, but I'm not married to this quite yet.about 2 months ago
this anti-aging serum of the ordinary is comparable to the same brand's niacinamide in terms of texture and consistency. i love it because it is not greasy or oily and it delivers hydration which plumps the skin and gives it healthy glow. it does not feel clogging even if it is thick in consistency and the formulation gives good absorption to my skin. i just love this product because it improved the overall quality of my skin.about 2 months ago
I tried The Buffet because of all the hype. And since I was so happy with the Matrixyl 10% and heard this has the same ingredients plus more anti-ageing and hydrating benefits, I tried it. It dried my face out. My skin turned flaky and super sensitive. I don't know what's in this that makes it different, but it's a cautionary tale that not every product works for everyone.2 months ago
I have been using the Mizon Snail Ampoule prior to trying this one out. Both worked for me in terms of hydration, waking up to a plump skin, and evening out my hyper-pigmentation. I preferred The Ordinary's packaging though since it's more sturdy and the dropper works well also. However, after using this for a month, I'm still looking for that "healthy glow" that the Mizon one gives me whenever I wake up.3 months ago
I used this AM and PM as advised by the Monkeys and consumed this product for 2 months and saw no change-- good or bad. For the price it's quite disappointing. I immediately switch back to Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil Essence and see a whole lot of difference together with other products I was using with The Ordinary's The Buffet. So far the best The Ordinary product for me is the ALA and AHA 30% + BHA2%, this two is worth a try!!!4 months ago
