I received this as a gift from my friend in a randomized exchange gift and it changed my life. This started my skin care journey. I have an oily and sensitive skin and this is the first cleanser that I used consistently. The ingredients are really effective for my skin. It helped lessen my breakouts and brighten my face. My friend bought it as a her entry for the gift game because it worked wonders for her, and it definitely did wonders for me too.
I was skeptical of witch hazel and fragrance, but true to its name, it was gentle on my face. I used this once or twice a day for four weeks. My first impression of the product is that it has a strong tea tree scent. The scent goes away after rinsing, and after a few days of use, you get used to the smell. I’ve had the same sentiments with most cleansers I’ve used in the past. I would not say that the smell is bad, but if you’re sensitive to fragrant products, this may turn you off. It lathers a little but, but it doesn’t foam up too much as there aren’t many foaming agents in the ingredients list. The photo makes it seem like the cleanser is orange, but the actual product I received is clear. This product only has 10 identified ingredients.
I had a few pimples when I started using this. Thankfully, it didn’t upset my skin. On the contrary, it seemed to have helped my pimple marks dry quicker. It doesn’t remove heavy or waterproof makeup. You definitely need a separate oil cleanser for it, but it works well as a second cleanse and it didn’t leave my face tight or dry. It’s a plus for me that it comes with a pump so the product isn’t exposed and you only need one to two pumps for it to lather on your face. Even after using this for four weeks, not much seems to have been dispensed. For Php 225, this 30 ml cleanser is good value for your money, and it will surely last for months. If your skin is sensitive to witch hazel, tea tree, or strong fragrance, this may not be for you. Otherwise, this is an affordable and gentle cleanser that gives you a fresh feeling after washing up at the end of a long day. This cleanser leaves me with a positive view of witch hazel that is often avoided by some.
I have dry, sensitive skin and I think this was too strong for me. My skin would feel dry and itchy after washing. I didn't notice any changes in my acne condition while using this either. Maybe this would be good for other skin types but I would like a gentler cleanser.
Beauty Bakery has a number of good products (i have not tried all pa). And this is one of them. I love that it has skin loving ingredients, and gentle enough for every wash. It gives you a clean feeling and di ako nagkakapimples dito. Magastos ako sa facial wash so medyo madali ko to nauubos. Also the packaging parang mas gusto ko yung tube type pero not naman a big issue basta ok yung product itself.
