I have no free time to clean my brushes so I bought this so I could clean and dry my brushes within seconds. I got the product and tried it right away. I'm so disappointed because it couldn't hold my brushes any longer then the spindle keeps going out. I was only able to keep a hold of the brush for only a second and it kept falling everywhere, it even fell in my toilet. But this product is great for drying my brushes, but I did expect more from this.6 months ago
I have the StylPro. I think it's the original brand from UK that popularized this device. I saw a video of how this works circulating around social media, so I got one during my trip in Europe. After a few tries, I can say that in terms of cleaning makeup brushes, it does NOT clean all the gunk out especially when you use liquid and cream products on the brush. Powder products can be easily removed provided they didn't leave a lot of pigment on the brush prior to cleaning. I still noticed traces of blush and powder foundation on the brush after 2-3 cleaning cycles, and I'm not satisfied with that because I want my brushes to be spotless after cleaning. I still rinse the bristles under running water after the cleaning cycle because I don't want traces of soap in my brushes, so it doesn't really save much time (though the instruction doesn't tell you to do this). Also, the centrifugal (lol) force exerted on the bristles as the device spins makes the bristles of your brushes prone to fraying, so it's not advisable to use it on brushes with natural hair bristles (eg. eyeshadow brushes). It's better to use the Brush Egg to clean your brushes. The only plus side when using this device is drying time because it cuts it down to at least 80% (at least in my experience). Drying time still differs on how dense the brush is, so denser brushes (eg. packed powder brushes and foundation buffing brushes) will take a bit longer to dry. As for brush types, domed brushes are more suitable to be used with this device. I also find cleaning angled brushes with this can be a challenge despite only using powder products on it. Using this on flat brushes won't really have any effect.10 months ago
Saw this at the cousin's house and decided to try this product before I decide to buy for myself. They say it works really well with brushes that are rounded top BUT it is a different experience for me. I tried my cousin's makeup brush that has been used for like five days in a row and I am so surprised by the result. It was surprisingly disappointing. The brushes that are once rounded became "buhaghag". Also, I noticed that it does not clean quite well. :(10 months ago
Bought this as a gift for my mom's birthday. She's always on the go and has to put make up everyday since she deals with clients for work so using clean and sanitized make up brushes is a must. The device makes cleaning her brushes so much easier for her! What used to be a taxing chore immediately became a bonding activity for us! This brush cleaner comes in rubber holders that should fit all sizes of your brushes. Then you only have to make sure correctly attach it to the twister and voila, your makeup brushes are cleaned in seconds! However, it's important to remember that this only works for brushes that aren't flat. Other than that, this is a great buy!11 months ago
