When first using the this, you might have to shake it since some of the products collect at the bottom. The smell may be strong at first but because of this, its a scent that tones down and lasts throughout the day. Its similar to other regular salt hairsprays but the scent and packaging makes it appear more high end. If you’re not into the scent then I would recommend the beach born version of this which is also cheaper. This is one of the products that I managed to finish since I love how strong the hold is and also the fragrance it gave my hair. It used natural products so my hair wasn’t damaged from this.about 1 year ago
I used this about 5 months after I've had a Brazilian blowout. I only tried this once because I admittedly have dry hair from years of having my hair constantly rebonded and every time I ran my fingers through my hair, I can feel the residue on my roots which is quite sticky and clumpy though it did define my hair into several separate sections with some texture/body and softness as the day goes by but I didn't like that I have to wait it out until the latter part of the day to get that effect. I couldn't leave it on overnight because I have very fine hair that gets oily easily. Moreover, I also have very sensitive skin and the areas of my skin where the mist settled onto felt a stinging sensation though I agree with Gigi below that it really does feel and smell all natural. Might work better for others with different hair and skin conditions.over 1 year ago
This product smells good and doesn't feel sticky, yet when I use this on my permed hair according to the suggested instructions (spray onto braid and leave overnight), my hair ends up straighter than it would if left alone. I've also used it while scrunching my hair as it air dries, but it soesn't seem to give the curls any special definition. I'll keep using the product but will probably not repurchase.over 1 year ago
This one was somewhat of a blind buy for me when I was looking for texturizing hair sprays. The product looked cool with its minimalist aesthetic and all natural ingredients so I tossed it into my cart, not thinking much of it. Boy, what a sweet surprise it truly was when I tried it out for the first time. Off the bat, I found it very moisturizing despite it being a sea salt spray (I daresay the formula is even better than cult fave Beach Born's Sea Salt Spray, Snoe's Superfresh spray and Bumble and Bumble's version). It feels a little bit more goopy and less liquidy than most sea salt sprays. The scent is rather unusual and might be a hit or miss for others but for me, it reminds me of my parents' home in the province (it DEFINITELY smells of freshly bloomed ylang ylang which I find quite comforting). The scent is not overpowering though and what's great about it is that it smells really natural. In terms of wave holding abilities, I would say this spray performs relatively better than all the others I've tried since it does not make my hair crunchy and stiff at all. I doesn't hold as much for long though since it's more moisturizing however, it does give the appearance of lovely, lush wavy locks. My only con (hence one star off) with this is the packaging. Since it's made of glass it is a bit of a hassle to lug around. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this spray for anyone craving soft, healthy and natural looking and fragrant waves!almost 2 years ago
