I had mixed feelings about this product at first. During my first week of use, I layered this on top of the aloe vera gel at night until I noticed some bumps constantly coming up and I had to stop using both.
After reading a lot about witch hazel, I found out that it is a natural astringent so it tends to dry the skin up - so this is why it should only be applied to blemished areas of the face that you want to treat. Also, combining witch hazel with aloe vera in a single routine isn’t ideal because of their contradicting effects on the skin.
Eventually, I realized that applying this to the skin at night gives a youthful and glowing complexion in the morning. (Always apply sunscreen, as astringents leave your skin vulnerable to the damaging effects of the sun)
