Very good pressed mineral foundation for me

Recently, I've been getting breakouts from pressed powders, so I had to switch to loose powders. But what I don't like about loose powder is that it makes my eyes feel dry for some reason. Maybe the powder flies around into my eyes? I don't know. So when I read that Ellana Pressed Mineral Foundation is just the compressed version of their good loose powder one, I decided to give it a try. And I love it! My face is not that oily compared to other pressed mineral powders I've tried. My only issue is the shade range (so less 1 star). Hazelnut is a bit darker on me, but French Vanilla is too light. So I had to mix them to achieve the perfect warm shade for my face.

expectations vs reality

I had high expectations on this product simply because of the brand's claim. I ordered the mineral foundation eventhough it is a bit pricy because i was hoping that it will be the best foundation for my sensitive skin. 1st time of using it, my skin feels weird, like something is pulling or stretching it.then i started to feel the itchiness on my cheeks until redness started to show up. Gave the product a chance for atleast a week but I eventually stopped when allergies started to appear. For the pricepoint, I am aware that this is just a refill but i was disappointed that the packaging is cheap.the pressed mineral foundation breaks easily..and so for the price it is not worth it. There are other mineral products that can perform better and is cheaper.. it is sad to write this review as i know the brand only wants those people with sensitive skin to enjoy make up without having to worry about it.

Good for sensitive skin!

This is the first ever foundation I owned I did nkt get disappointed. Luckily, I also got the right shade! Did not cause me acne even if my skin is overly sensitive. I bought the magnetic palette along with this and I love that they are compact and fit in my bag! I can already see the surface of the pan, so I am thinking of repurchasing already

Nice product for oily skin

I have been using the same product i ordered in 2017 up to now. Quite long but i still think it s not expired yet since it s a powder product. It doesnt sit well on top of a concealer. I think it works better on top of bare skin. Maybe it s just me. It lasts about half a day without my skin oiling up.. it cakes up on me when applied more than 2 layers. i use it everyday very thinly. After some time it turns grayish on me. Maybe it oxidizes

my absolute favorite foundation! i have a lot of breakouts on my face so a mineral foundation is just what i need. the shade hazelnut is also so perfect on my skin tone. i would say its light to medium coverage but it definitely is buildable. it never broke me out and its actually skin care in itself. its quite pricey but a really great investment in my part because regular drugstore makeup break me out really bad

Best for those who have blessed skin already

The Chai Tea Latte is still too light for NC25 light-medium skin. And since it is also a cool shade, it may look a bit gray on the skin if you're not fair. I think you should go for Hazelnut Latte if you're an NC25 in MAC. It has less coverage than the loose powder version, so I am just using this as a highlight powder which I love since it doesn't look like you've attempted the Kim Kardashian highlighting method.
