Wit’s Sweets & Savouries was founded by mother-daughter pair Lizabel “Wit” and Bianca Holganza in 2016. They offer homemade, all-natural granola with flavors that play on both sweet and savery, but always truly Pinoy. The granola is studded with the brand’s highlight - cacao nibs grown in the family farm in Gran Verde, Calinan, Davao del Sur. The Holganzas take pride in three generations of cacao cultivation - Wit, in particular, had studied it in Indonesia and would hold workshops for locals and tourists alike. The nibs are carefully prepared in the orchard, ensuring each one is fermented and roasted to perfection, before being sent fresh to Manila.
Granola flavors include Zesty Ginger, Tangy Green Mango, Tasty Ripe Mango, and Spiced Ripe Mango. As much as possible, other ingredients are sourced from fellow local farmers - the mangoes are from Cebu (as the varieties there are ideal for drying) while the durian, ginger, and chili come from neighboring Davao farms. Their rolled oats are from Australia - the only import in the mix.
